My experiences with Latino Catholics (myself included) is that they're extreme hypocrites, no less. They attend their weekly service -- or in most cases, their semi-annual services on Christmas -- and then forget about God and act like complete ******* the rest of the week. Rather than being a complete hypocrite to this day, I got off that particular merry-go-round a while back.

Anyway, back to topic. This resignation is extremely atypical and I suspect more went on there than we'll ever know, so I call shenanigans. The question now is, will a scandal-battered Church that has steadily lost followers over the last three decades finally decide to elect a reformist and step into the 21st century at long last?

Vegas odds say no and they'll elect yet another old, orthodox Italian.

As for another orthodox italian, what is said about insanity, doing the same thing over and over and expecting diffrent results? If they want to compeat with Protestant Christianity and Islam they are going to have to change.

 

Yeah my mom and aunt who are still religious jumped over to the Episcopal church a few years ago for many reasons, those among them.
