Lit Obscure EU things you'd include in a novel if you could

You of course in truth meant the story of Ackbar's brother / Jesim's father!

 

What happened to Streen? I don't really remember him being in any books apart from being mentioned after the Jedi Academy trilogy.

Anyway I'd like to see a book that features Admiral Rogriss. I like how unique he is and how he has a sense of honour.

 

I'm pretty sure he's still around by the time of LOTF. I think he's at Mara's funeral. As for what he's doing? No idea. We also don't know much about Kirana Ti or Madurrin.

- more about House of Tagge and TaggeCo,
- more Mareek Steele,
- more TIE-Defenders and TIE-Avengers, not to mention Missile and Assult Gunboats (heck, we need a TIE-fighter counterpart to the X-Wing-novels),
- more Bank of Aargau,
- new top-of-the-game bounty hunter - come one - Boba Fett can't have been the only good one for three decades,
- a novel on Grand Moff Tarkin. What kind of man was the philosophical father of the empire's doctrine really? Forget Dooku.
- more Hutts. Hutts are always good (almost),
- General A'Baht and the fifth fleet,
- Kam Solusar and Tionne,
- at least a dozen major battles the empire doesn't fight against the rebel-alliance, Show us the countless conflicts the empire so thoughtlessly interrupted according to HoT,
- the SW-version of an economic thriller, the shenegians of bankers, lawyers and politicians,
- Jedi actually mediating disputes without "aggressive negotiations".

Should be enough for now.

Not precisely obscure, but I'd love to see stuff with General Tagge's exploits. We've too few "reasonable" Imperial officers in the vein of Veers and Ziering, and the Army's always been underrepresented.

As far as actually obscure stuff goes...

--K-Wings, and if it's got Skids and Tuketu pre-BFC (since they're dead post- ), even better.
--Hell, a book about the 24th Bombardment Squadron. Tell us those stories about Tuke and Skids and Miranda and Hodo and all the others!
--Gonna second the calls for the Black Curs
--Jaalib Brandl and Fable Astin
--Something with Red Squadron. All of it, not just the dudes we know from Rogue Squadron 1/2
--Actually, I'd like to see some more of General Ziering from To The Last Man. He seemed a good sort.
--Hiram Drayson and Alpha Blue.
--Hell, Lobot as written in the BFC---seems to be obscure since no one takes any cues from it.

Might be fun to have a story that includes other Smugglers who deserve more time, Platt O'Keefe, Fenig Nebron and others. Could be fun witht he new kid claiming reations to Solo and being doubted, but having some skill to back up the claim as being possible.

I would like find out what become of Silver Fyre. Personally I am of the theory that she is become an admiral in the Republics navy and saved the day in countless adventures that happened outside the told EU

 

As am I, though I want her to have some other awesome adventures first.

Anyway, what I'd include in a novel would depend on what the story called for. As any number of people on this board will tell you, an author shouldn't shoehorn in story elements if they don't belong in that story.

Of course, I'm only human, and some elements I'd be tempted to find a way to include in a novel (in addition to the abovelinked ladies) ...
