So....what are the character names? *sigh* Character names and the actors are what I'm anticipating. I forsee one of these futures happening:
1. Its EU names and all the EU fans freak out thinking "OMG EU is saved! SW7 is gunna be an EU adaption!"
2. The names aren't from the EU and we have people moping that Disney has destroyed the EU and what not
3. The names aren't from the EU and some conspiracy theory happens here that its all a cover for them actually using EU characters (like "Her name isn't REALLY *insert new name*! They're just lying to us so they can do a big reveal later")
4. Its a weird mixture of EU names and original names

I agree. I'm not sold on him being the villain character in this. He could just as easily by the intellectual in his 30s role. The guy does play Sherlock freakin' Holmes.

 

That was... cryptic. What exactly is he hearing? What's going on? All we get from that is that there's a lot of contradictory information going around.

It's a poorly written (and just odd, honestly) article.

 

It sounds like EU names are being used behind the scenes, for the characters, but he's not sure if they'll keep those names.

But how does this person even know they are using those EU names? That's just someones imagination running wild. There is so little substance to that article it isn't even worth the price of ink used to print it. Hot air. NEXT!

 

Indeed. I could see him as a master strategist with slightly daft ideas on the side, like Pitt. I swear, some of his lines in Amazing Grace could have been written for a Star Wars movie. To wit:

From what I understand, he heard from different sources that a young character who could pass as Ben Skywalker is in EVIII.

Some sources have been told that the character's name was"Ben Skywalker" and some might have called him "Deak Skywalker", even though they are the same character.

Nothing new .....as stated in the article..... the same strategy was used during the prequels production...

 

Maybe his name is Sken Bywalker?
