Do you think we will see them in Rebels and if so at what capacity

I think we will but they will be hinted down by the empire to near or complete destruction.

It's hard to say if they'll appear. Grievous wiped all of them out on Dathomir except for Talzin and Ventress, but Ventress has gone off and become a bounty hunter, leaving Talzin as the only true Nightsister still alive, but it's possible that she'll be killed in the Son of Dathomir comics.

Even if they did somewhat reform the Empire would most likely oppress them and attempt to completely eradicate them.

They're dead after what Grievous has done

I wouldn't totally discount the possibility. Remember that even Talzin said that her clan had been in exile for years. Now recall that Grievous only targeted one clan, and you'll see that there's still a chance of meeting other witches from the planet.

Since no other clans have been mentioned as existing within official canon they currently or rather did exist as the only clan, and are now dead and gone according to the official site's encyclopedia entry.

There should be other witches on the planet. If they stick to what is known about the nightsister from the old EU the nightsisters were witches that were banished from their respective clans for being evil. It would be interesting to see witches from another clan.

The impression I got from TCW was that the Nightsisters was their clan name and if there was another clan it would have a different name. They keep talking like the Nightsisters is just their own group, no reference to it being anything bigger.

I'm with you in wanting to see that, but there is no reason expect anything just because it would work with the EU at this point.

I expect nothing anymore as far as Star Wars goes. It's all just a wait and see how things go from now on.

I do like to think they survived to one degree or another, and it would be nice to see them show up in some form. Sure most of the main clan was wiped out in 'Massacre', but what I noticed is there was one Nightsister suspiciously (to me) absent from that episode. In the original Nightsisters arc there were three named Nightsisters. Karis, Naa'leth, and...Talia. Talia was the one who stood out from the others to me because she never wore a hood and had the short blond hair and the twin blades as weapons. Her name wasn't actually given in the arc itself, but it was in the show notes when the show premiered.

Anyway, as we know, Karis had a building fall on her and Naa'leth was on the front lines of the battle so there's no doubt she was killed too...but Talia? I suppose you could make a case she was there, and just wearing a hood like the others, but she never did in the original arc. but, maybe that really is what happened and she died with the others. Still, without concrete evidence, there is some small part of me that likes to think she was off doing Talzin's bidding when the attack came. Maybe she would try to rebuild, with or without Talzin's guidance. What eventually became of her I'd love to know.

Talia's not the only one we have unaccounted for. In this image, the two sisters on the far right were completely absent from Season 3.

However, they were seen in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment in Massacre (seen about 9 minutes in). They're the two on the left.

This is their only appearance, and unless I've missed them they don't show up in the confrontation with Grievous later on. The one on the right is also only ever seen in this shot. She also appears in an obscure promo image I found a while back (on the far left).

The one on the far right, on the other hand, never showed up over the course of the show. Unless, as I said before, I missed her in a crowd shot.

Now here's something strange. This shot is seen right before Ventress, Karis and Naa'leth disembark from their ship following their failed attempt to kill Dooku. And yet the latter two are visible right here waiting alongside Talzin. Even weirder still, the Naa'leth lookalike has her hair and clothing mirrored.

This is most likely an error on the part of the animators, as neither of the two are seen in any subsequent shots.

Ok, so she was there. Darn, that's too bad. You're right though, that really is a blink and you'll miss it moment.

EDIT: oh, no wait, you're right that's not her. talia and that other one look so similar.

Okay, so it's not just an error, but also plain laziness. The non-mirrored version of the same shot is seen at the beginning of Monster. I guess they just reused and flipped it for use in Nightsisters without giving thought to who should and shouldn't be in the scene.

Not to get all symbolic, but I'm not sure what more the Nightsisters have to say, or represent. In the Clone Wars, they're an outside group that did business with the Sith, found out that was a bad idea, tried to avoid the consequences, but ended up paying the price. The end. They're one of many, many factions who got used and discarded. They show there's no overarching allegiance among users of the dark side, and they show Palpatine practically makes an art form out of throwing things away when he's done with them. Their story serves a purpose and is pretty encapsulated.

I don't need to see more of their story. I don't have anything against them, but if they come back, they need to come back with something to say about the themes and ideas of Rebels, not just, "Let's check in and see how the last two Nightsisters are doing!" If there's a reason for them to appear, then that's fine, but the old EU was pretty bad about spinning out plot threads a hilariously long time after they should have ended. We can always bring back the Nightsisters later if there's a venue where they have more to say.

Interestingly, Naa'leth was originally supposed to die during the Grievous/Ventress fight. I'm guess they forgot to show her death when they changed the scene.

I don't want Rebels to go down that route and to be honest seeing that it is closer to the OT it probably will not have any of the night sisters. It will have a lot of the OT feel in it. Some of you guys keep forgetting this and will be disappointed when the series comes out later this year. Your going to expect things from the prequels/TCW and all your going to get is nods and feel of the OT.

Remember when I said I couldn't find this one?

Well, little update: she's wearing a hood, but she's here on the far left of the scene where Ventress is baptized. You can tell by the identical patterns on the brown leg wrappings, and although it's not clear due to my laptop's poor resolution, her clothes have the exact same markings and stains.

Now I can finally watch these episodes again without constantly pausing and rewinding! :D
