I get the feeling that most of the people who are subjecting themselves to discomfort for Facebook likes don't realize that the act doesn't do anything to help victims of ALS and the point is to get people to donate instead. If they even know what ALS is.

 

The problem is that most people seem to not know that the stipulation is either donate $100 or do the challenge and only donate $10. Most people treat it as Challenge or donate.

 

That meme certainly ends the argument concerning the validity of the ice bucket challenge.

I'm all for shaming water wasters, but really, most people use more water in 3 minutes of showering than the amount most of those buckets contain.
