"He can help you. He was meant to help you."

She didn't like the awful races but the greater good was on her mind. People need help. There was no deal in place that if Anakin helps them, they get freed. Qui-Gon and company were on an important mission and she lent them her 9 year old son.

As for once he was free and sold the pod (that may have been worth a slave), well I grant you a homeless kid isn't ideal, but does anyone really think he would have been or remained homeless? This is the kid that won the boonta eve classic to which everyone cheered, built a pod racer, and can fix anything. Could he not bunk with Kitster for a bit?

It would be nice if Leia could break the cycle, but Lucas loves his rhyming verses. Maybe Kira eventually breaks the cycle? I don't know what Leia and Hans living conditions will be in Episode 7 or have been over the past 30 years. Yeah they may have a home on Naboo or something but that doesn't mean they wouldn't be targeted or have the time to raise kids given the gigantic task of fighting back the empire and rebuilding the republic. Maybe they try to raise a kid, neglect them, and the kid resents it in Episode 7? Maybe they send the kid away for protection or to be raised as a Jedi. Or maybe the galaxy is in utter chaos, they shouldn't really have the time to raise kids, but somehow they will be there and ready to go for the next 3 episodes because.... it just needs to be that way for what they have planned.

I think the complete lack of information on Leia makes it difficult to establish where she is and what's she's doing at the movie's opening. she may well be a high-flying politician or she may even be in hiding due to the Skywalker 'secret' getting out. Or something in between.... basically we don't know. This would of course impact on Daisy's upbringing (I'm assuming here she's Han and Leia's daughter) and a whole range of other factors, not least Daisy's maybe/maybe not training as a Jedi. It has already been expounded upon very succinctly by Yanksfan how Leia as a mother would treat her own daughter.

I took very little from the concept art, but I do get the feeling from that one picture of her wielding a lightsabre that she has had some training prior to the movie starting. Perhaps the key to understanding why she's on Possibly-Tatooine at the beginning of EpVII is linked to what may have been a major on-going war; Luke's possible disappearance; the galaxy's receptiveness or lack thereof to Force Sensitives; but also simply her relationship to her parents. Or perhaps none of that is relevant and she is simply striking out on her own as an adult? I suspect the truth is a combination of some of these factors but we are missing so many pieces that would put things into context.

I'm hoping that when Principal Photography ends, more will emerge about Daisy's character. I'm completely intrigued by her circumstances and her relationship to the OT3, but especially Leia, whom I have high hopes for in this movie.

I don't feel Leia was reluctant to train in ROTJ. She didn't pursue it because she was convinced that she didn't have the power. By the time she realized that she did, Luke left to face their father. They didn't meet back up until the movie was ending, so she didn't have the opportunity or time to begin.

Luke told her that she had the same power he did and would one day become like him. She never rejected that. That said, I'd prefer it if the Jedi weren't trained from childhood. Exceptions might be made for the Skywalker-Solos to some degree, but I hope most are recruited as young adults.

Han and Leia's children being trained might even be further encouragement for Leia to pursue the Force herself. What if she decides to train privately so that she could pass teachings onto them while raising them?

I've a hunch that Leia not training would make her more susceptible to the Dark Side. She wouldn't necessarily have the mental training to resist it as well as a fully-trained Jedi, and the Big Bad may seek her out as a result- assuming it's discovered that she's Force Sensitive; something that I think has great dramatic potential. Whilst I don't think we'll get Sith Leia, who's to say we won't see her tempted especially if the love of her child/children is a key factor?

Having said that, I think the focus for Force Potential will ultimately switch to Daisy, whom I've always suspected will become the most powerful Force User we've ever seen. If she's partially trained at the beginning of the movie and is tracked down to her backwater hovel, she may also be susceptive to the Dark side influence. However, I really hope we don't see her fall; I'm confident in fact that we won't, as that would undermine her potential as a strong female protagonist. Nonetheless the whole interplay between the SkySolos, their legacy and the temptations they may be presented with could make for some great drama.

Nothing against Jason, but he REEEEEEEAAAAAAALLY needs to learn how to describe a picture and leave the speculation out. I know he is trying his best to share with us what he has seen, but he painted a bit of a false image with many of his previous descriptions because of all the speculation he was doing and the way he went about doing it.

Interesting, now we get the bigger picture. I wonder how this ties in with the Falcon being at the castle? Perhaps Kira takes her father's ride without permission? And if so does that mean that J.B. is piloting it during the Dark Knight/Kira/Luke(?) fight in the snow?

I was under the impression that the Falcon was a placeholder for another ship; I could be wrong of course...

I think if I take anything from this latest piece it's that we may be dealing with a different woman other than Daisy. Billie perhaps? Or another character entirely? Nothing really is a given here... [face_dunno]

Reading a visual document is full of speculation, assumption, and analysis. I make it really clear to you guys what's what. The stuff in the background appears to have a functional implication.

I never painted a lot of false images with many of my past descriptions either. You guys are reading them wrong because you haven't seen everything. I made a few mistakes here and there, because I'm going with the amount of content and because I have sources that are actually working on the films giving me the ability to analyze this stuff in the ways I am. Not saying I'm perfect, but that's my style. Take it or leave it.

No, this is the "Kira" character for sure. That's why I mentioned the blue scarf.

Devin said a while back thatGleeson´s character was a huge spoiler. And The Force claimed the cyborg was Luke´s kid. What if Gleeson is actually the cyborg?.

Oh, true. I forgot about the blue alien. It seems we have a new group of heroes. Kira, Boyega, blue alien (Serkis?) and the new little droid.

Would that mean Kira´s droid won´t be R2?.

This is really cool, Jason, thanks [face_peace] . The most interesting artwork (to me) so far because Boyega's character apparently looks like Boyega, so we can date it as being more recent and therefore (most likely) closer to the final scene.

    Or Anderson..?

It does sound like we're getting a new droid in the main group. Which makes me kind of sad. I hope R2 isn't pushed out. :(

Just out of curiosity, is there any evidence other than the scarf that it's supposed to be "Kira", such as a description or something like that? I'm only asking because you mentioned the hair color, and a scarf is hardly definitive proof. I'm not saying you're lying, so don't please take it that way, but nothing about the other image of the "cyborg" embracing the woman would have lead me to believe it's supposed to be Daisy's character. As you say, we haven't seen the image, but when the other images came out, I disagreed with your interpretation of some of them.

I just hope they don't retire R2 along with Luke, Han, and Leia. Flat out: It wouldn't feel like Star Wars without him.

Dude, you may just want to give him the benefit of doubt on this. If he has a deluge of concept art as well as confirming info from his source; I think he probably has a pretty strong idea of who that character is.
