ST New Batch of Rumors from 4chan/Reddit ; "SpoilerMan Leak"

I'm pretty convinced it's Boba. Take a look at the top comment on the reddit thread. Apparently the character's code name was Montross, which just so happens to be the name of a Legends character who is a Mandalorian bounty hunter who competed with Jango Fett to become the template for the clone army. It's highly likely MVS's character was referred to this in all the concept art as Boba shares quite a number of traits with him. Boba is a Mandalorian bounty hunter, has some relation to Jango, and has some relation to the clones. Who knows, maybe even Boba himself is calling himself Montross in TFA to lay low a bit without letting the whole galaxy know he's Boba Fett, the former greatest bounty hunter in the galaxy.

There's also the fact that MVS's character is apparently a cyborg. Now, who had some pretty bad injuries that would require some cybernetics to survive? Let's just say a run-in with the sarlaac's stomach isn't going to leave you without a few scratches.

Boba is a bounty hunter, so that right there makes him not necessarily a good or evil character.

It's possible this rumor isn't true at all, but if it does so happen to be true I think Boba fits the bill for it.

 

Boy... and people were confused/upset that a mere stormtrooper didn't look like Jango Fett!

I don't recall him in TPM, nevertheless, that would really rustle some jimmies if it were true. The bounty hunter fanboy following figurehead reduced to some old guy with a force artifact fetish.

 

Elements of this sound possible, even probable... other elements, not so much.

If not this guy is one specific mofo.He even managed to tie in the Driver as a Rebel Pilot stuff.

Idc what anyone says though, that chrome armor is definitely Christie and it's dope.

 

For the record, this morning I was sent a highly strange rumor report that severely clashed with some of my sources information. However, it interfaces with a part of this. I am extremely hesitant about this right now. It involves Luke's hand and technology becoming sentient. It ends with Oscar Issac and his squadron going to kill Luke and interfaces with this report perfectly. At this point, I feel this is a giant hoax and until the person gets back to me with more data, I'm raising an eyebrow to this entire situation. I find it very interesting that such a report hits just as I get something that interfaces with it and defies everything I think I know.

I'm not debunking anything. I'm just saying half of it adds up and the other half doesn't interface with photographs I've seen.

Don't forget that Slashfilm seems convinced that a younger iteration of von Sydow's character will be a bounty hunter in the Death Star heist spin-off, so I doubt if he's Valorum.

Sounds more probable for Fett then, doesn't it? I could see Fett turning into a bar fly in his old age, especially after the whole Sarlacc fiasco... and he's already something of a trophy hunter. Switch from bounty hunting to relic hunting?

 

I agree it is MUCH more promising than anything else we've heard. If the person is just an internet troll, they are still rather talented in coming up with these detailed spoilers.

 

I think this rumor is most likely bunk. That said, the candidates...

Bail Antiles: Somewhat young Politician during TPM who looses out to Palpatine. He holds a grudge against him forever. He's the guy who should have been Chancellor. If he had been elected none of this would have ever happened...so there's a personal connection there. Perhaps his political career ends, and once the Empire is born, he hides away and grows old on some far off planet.

Boba Fett: While not in TPM, he could definitely hold a grudge against the Emperor/Empire. After getting out of the Sarlacc Pit, he has some cyber additions added to him and puts bounty hunting behind him. Stays on Tatooine as a scraper.

TPM isn't the only prequel. Boba was in AotC.

 

Wait, does this sentence reference two different things, or are the claimimg the hand becomes sentient? Please tell me it is the former.

I'd be curious to know if Serkis' narration from the trailer is actual dialogue from the film, and if so, who is he talking to? The reason for my curiosity is that those specific lines seem like they'd happen earlier in the film than Serkis' character is alleged to appear.

Are the inquisitors the supreme leaders of the Imperials? Or is there a character filling the Emperor role (from a political standpoint, not sith).

 

Wasn't there a rumor that something in the third act would be a ballsy move or something? Sentient technology would be pretty ballsy.

 

We've had sentient technology since A New Hope. It's called droids.
