ST New Batch of Rumors from 4chan/Reddit ; "SpoilerMan Leak"

I just looked at the IMDB cast lists for each of the prequels and can't really think of any possible prequel character that would even begin to make sense.

 

Does anyone else think that a lot of the rumors and thoughts we read would either make for an incredibly long movie, or a whole lot of backstory? So in the same movie, I've heard Driver is going to be a pilot/Han and Leia's kid/Sith Apprentice. wouldn't it make more sense if Driver is playing A Skywalker descendant for him to carry over into all 3 movies and turn to the darkside slowly? The films are about new characters so you might as well introduce a new villain to the overall trilogy. yea yea yea, I get it "but they did that before". It made for good drama then, and it will now. It just doesn't make sense to me having Driver flying for the Republic in one scene then an hour later saying Well... This Ancient Sith Lord guy seems pretty cool, I'm gonna hang out with him. Then Bam he's dressed in black carrying a lightsaber he just learned how to use very quickly.

I think the Sith Master is either Palagues who cheated death and watched his apprentice start what he now decided was time to finish, or an Ancient Sith Lord. The apprentice is either Driver(who isn't playing Han and Leia's kid) or he's a Darth Maul ( filling in until Driver turns to the Dark Side)

People would be mad to dismiss this plot description. Most of it makes sense & fits in with what's been rumored already as well as set photos & descriptions. The teaser did after all confirm several of the early rumors that people were mocking & laughing at months ago.
I have a feeling that a majority of this will prove to be true.

That's a decent theory. Boba was last seen probably suffering severe injuries, & on Tatooine after all. His inclusion would also help setup/generate interest in his spin off film.

Which in no way precludes her from also being a Jedi apprentice.

Maybe Obi-Wan's words in AotC were prophetic: "If droids could think there'd be none of us here"
Actually this particular rumor I am also quick to dismiss. Sounds too Matrix/Terminator.

spoilerman also claimed to know the entire 3rd act of VII but he refused to spoil the movie, he also said you can know if he's right or not by February when a batch of spoiler from the movie will leak, he also claimed to have seen VIII treatment.

 

Actually the drop provides that Gleeson is her love interest. Although she gets closer with Isaac in Ep. VIII. That being said, the MF should be hers and only on loan to Isaac while she completes her jedi training, IMO. I realize the force is her legacy but so is that ship.

 

I also agree that it's makes perfect sense that sydow(cyborg) is Boba Fett.

You guys keep asking "why would he be collecting artifacts?"

Well that's simple. The spoilerman said that Kira was looking for artifacts in hopes of finding her AWOL uncle right? Well what if:

1. Boba is out for revenge on Luke and Han because he blames them for the injuries he suffered in the sarlaac pit

2. he does exactly what a bounty hunters job is and tracks down Kira who is hiding her true identity.

3. He befriends her and helps her search for artifacts/ Luke in hopes it will lead him to Luke and/Han so he can extract his revenge.

Personally, I think the blue alien we see in the concept art was Arndts and it was scrapped when kasdan rewrote the script. He probably changed it to be boba Fett for several reasons

1. like @willybobo said it Generates interest for the upcoming stand alone Boba Fett movie

2. It ties boba into the Han/luke legacy starting all the way back to the prequels. A neat way to tie up that storyline between the two and connect the 3 trilogies.

My prediction will be that Boba reveals himself and is on the verge of killing Han. However, his new found relationship/friendship with Kira will ultimately lead him to lower his gun. That will lead to him being killed by someone else...probably Luke.

 

Drive on through, folks. Nothing to see here.

It sounds as if the MVS character was more political in nature in the PT which wouldn't qualify as Fett. *shrugs*

If MVS is Boba then I think that is the perfect way for Han to die (if it's been determined he will die in this film). I've said in other posts "IF" Han has to die, it should be in a personal way by someone like Fett. Not some lame way like a suicide run in the Falcon on some new, unworthy bad guy.

 

Interesting I say either Bail Organa or Boba.
With Bail he would be watching over his adopted granddaughter.

 

If it's Boba, wouldn't it have to be someone with a racial background similar to Temuera Morrison? Or is everyone hoping to forget that's how Boba looks under the mask?

 

Boba is maybe a couple years older or younger than Han. MVS is 85. Harrison Ford is 72. MVS is Swedish. Daniel Logan is Maori. That part (among others) of this rumor makes no sense.

 

But he's rumored to have a bunch of cybernetic implants, even covering his face.

 

There are a few things in that rumor I like, but like the rest of you, my mind has trouble grasping who the character from the PT might be. But let's think closer to what the rumor actually says:

So this means he could be from any of the films, not just TPM as some are saying. And most importantly, the identity will "shock" us.

It can't be Boba Fett because MVS doesn't look anything like Temuera Morrison.

Who else might shock us?

Sifo Dyas.

That would even possibly fit with this line:

In TCW episode The Lost One, we learn that Dooku probably stole Sifo Dyas's identity in order to order the clone army, but we also learn that Sifo Dyas was "too radical" for the council. Dooku makes it seem as though he killed Sifo Dyas, but we never see a body from what I recall.

Sifo Dyas has always been a loose end. That would be something if they introduce him as a character with secret knowledge of the Jedi and Sith in the ST.

 

Fair enough... I had another look at the concept art...

As I think about this, I really hope it's not any existing character from the films and that it's just some guy who witnessed the clone wars or Vader or something. Not every character has to have a connection to the old films.

 

Apparently Ridley Scott is the Littlefinger of the art department and Kasdan is a boring old man.

 

• Sydow is a sort of mentor to Kira, and apparently his true identity is an Act III revelation that will surprise a lot of people. The contention is that he is an existing character from the prequel films, and the revelation of his identity will shock viewers.

I don't mind some of those rumors. But all of this talk of Darth Maul, Boba Fett and Darth Plagueis is ridiculous and unimaginative. I think Kasdan/JJ can cook up something original.
