ST Adam Driver (Kylo Ren) in Episode VII

I think there is a chance he will turn back towards the light to defeat the greater evil (Serkis character) when he sees it for what it really is.

 

I like the idea that the footage of Driver in the flight suit was leaked on purpose and he is really just playing the bad guy. Would make more sense. If that's true then it's awesome how so many people are trying to come up with these elaborate plots starting him as a pilot in the beginning, and ending with him a complete Sith Apprentice or Master chasing Jedi's through the woods. Longest movie of all time or so little detail that you don't even understand what's going on.

 

I thought this was kind of interesting In all the leaked Sony material recently there was a small comment from David Fincher about the casting of Adam Driver as the bad guy in Ep 7...

Huh. I'd have thought Fincher was the kind of guy who would be more open to unorthodox casting choices.

Regardless, all Driver has to do is show he can convincingly play the bad guy and casting directors will be lining up for him. Bardem, Hiddleston, Waltz, Hardy, etc., can attest.

 

Remember this is a guy who was in talks for episode 7 but either was rejected or passed on the opportunity. Of course he's gonna get in a little dig if he can...he's human.... but like most directors they have their window of greatness then get stuck in their ways/become self indulgent and David Fincher ceased being relevant about 15 years ago....now move along and let the new guys in.

 

I wouldn't put Hardy in that category. He can play anything.

 

I really don't care what David Fincher thinks of star wars casting, could David Fincher Direct anything as epic as the current 6 star wars movies? I don't think so, David Fincher is way over ratted as a Director.

 

Well, sure, as can Bardem, Hiddleston, and Waltz. The point is that their roles as villains gained them much greater attention and opened up for them opportunities that were previously unavailable.

 

Every Fincher movie is better than Ep 1 & 2. This is not an opinion, this is a fact.

Fincher took Zodiac, a movie thats first 30-40 minutes revolved around the murders. The next 30 about the police investigation. The remaining hour or so about a cartoonist's obsession with the case .... & made it absolutely riveting. If he's overrated, then 95% of the other directors out there must be ******* awesome!

 

so its all but confirmed driver will be a a bad guy and possibly a with collector....

Calm your nerd boobs, everyone. Fincher was being a smart-ass. There's a context to that email exchange--Fincher was avoiding what Amy Pascal wanted him to address.

 

Exactly, I knew David Fincher wouldn't say that, it's completely out of character.
Would you mind providing said context, did she want info on his role within the Star Wars films? Did she want Fincher to compliment her wardrobe choice??? Did she want to know if Natalie Portman would be returning as padme but a force ghost????

 

Fincher was avoiding the topic of his involvement in the Jobs biopic. It reveals nothing about his thoughts on Driver.

Start? I tried jumping but I landed on Kira's speeder's netting for her ball droid.

 

I'm guessing that Driver is a pilot, crashes (like everyone else in this movie), becomes severely injured and is healed in exchange for services. But he gets misinformation about who his real enemies are.

In other words-Darth Vader all over again but possibly in the way JJ perceives it should have been done.

 

I don't see that happening at all. I see him as a villain from the start.

 

So since it seems that Mr Driver is a baddie, do we envisage him wearing a mask then? - just wondering with a the pictures flying about am not sure what is real and what is not?
