Full Series Ahsoka in Rebels

?

What should Ahsoka be like if she turns up in Rebels?

  1. Like she was before the S3 timeskip. Snippy, impulsive, petulant, a little over-agressive

The Jedi became too bureaucratic and political & they became too militarized and allowed themselves to be run amok by a civilian commander in chief and the mob rule of the senate and later the Republic military. Looks like they're way to also explain their fall was the Sith relic buried under the Jedi Temple that was slowly effecting and influencing them in negative ways. They also appeared to have formed some sorta symbiotic darkside possessiveness and greedy relationship with the Republic, to the point it was clearly a form of Oligarchy and Jedi turned into a military junta who were gonna arrest or kill the lawful chancellor and run the Republic until a new chancellor is elected where they go back to their level of normalcy.

In EU, you had Luke separating the Jedi from the New Republic and Travis wrote pretty extensive about the Jedi. So I do not see TCW storyline as particularly surprising and where Lucas was heading . Only problem really is puts Yoda in a shady spot, is he still tainted by the darkside as he has been alive for 800 years and we learn he had to purge his own darkside in Season 6, so this sorta confirms atleast he's no longer tainted, however he went back the temple an surely the Shrine process had to restart.

I agree. Kanan and Ezra even talked about them being the last Jedi. “Now it’s just you and me.” So they know Ahsoka isn’t a Jedi. How exactly they view her is yet to be seen. I hope this is something the show elaborates on.

^ Would've liked Ahsoka to have cleared that up in the episode herself.

I may have to rewatch that episode again, but did they say "Now it's just you and me" in TSOL or an earlier episode (like the one which revealed Luminara's fate)?

Yes because they are the last of the Jedi that they know of.

Yes to what? Did they actually acknowledge they were the last, even after meeting Ahsoka? That's the point I'm trying to establish.

I actually liked how quiet Ashoka was in most of the episode, you get the feeling she's seen a lot over the years and it's changed her. So by keeping her quiet and having her pass out when sensing Vader, you know that it's really important. I do think she's telling the truth when she doesn't know who Vader is but the .... vague probable familiarity combined with the seething Sith Lord-ness was probably too much for her.

Vader, however, figures out who she is in about 3 seconds, though, because he does stuff like that.

I figure it's more of a case that she literally CAN'T believe it. She did the little scan thingy, it came back telling her 'This is Anakin Skywalker' and she's all 'nope, wonky scan, Anakin wouldn't go bad.' It's not necessarily denial, she genuinely DOESN'T think it could be Anakin. But she will. And that's going to bite her, hard.

I took it as more she just didn't want to tell them. Her tone or voice/expression implied that she DID realize who Vader was, at least to me.

That was my thought, initially; but the more I read about it from the horse's mouth (Filoni, Ashley Eckstein, and crew), it seems she really doesn't know for sure who Vader was. That's not to say that the revelation won't come out sooner rather than later.

So, Vader saying 'The apprentice lives', implies that he believed Ahsoka was dead. Does that mean that the 2 or 3 arcs of TCW would have left Anakin out of the picture? Or would something happen to make him think she was dead?

I know a lot of people don't want this to happen but I would be fine with Ahsoka becoming a main focus on Rebels. Yes, I know the story's supposed to be all about the Ghost crew but couldn't she become part of it at some point?

Ahsoka (and Vader) were the reasons I started watching the show because they were familiar characters. I'd be a bit disappointed if they didn't continue to be regulars.

Well Ahsoka wasn't really revealed to be a part of Rebels until that final episode; until then it was just rumors. She will have a recurring role throughout Season 2; though the stories won't be centralized on her and her obvious connection with Vader. All signs are pointing to the new Inquisitors being the primary antagonists for the rest of Season 2; meaning the notion of a Vader/Ahsoka reunion will most likely take place in a later season.

People are wondering why Ahsoka went unconscious when her mind connected to Vader's. Maybe it was a mental attack by Vader? I definitely think that's possible, especially because she seemed to have opened her mind.

She's compared to Gandalf, who would often have side missions and leave the main group , was a powerful warrior and sorcerer that was protected by otherworldly forces and had very equally if not more powerful friends that were able to dispatch the forces of evil either on their own and/or together.

    http://www.flickeringmyth.com/2015/...er-and-ahsoka-tano-in-star-wars-rebels-2.html

Looked like she was exhausted as she used a lot of effort to penetrate Vader's defense, remember she wanted to see how powerful he was and also who/what he was. Actually right after Tano has a blackout, Vader chooses to not fire on the rebel ship and pulls up which is an indication that Anakin is still in there, and if he had an effect on her, she did on him as well so it was a two way street.

No surprise, as psychic attacks are standard-fare in superhero comics. But we sorta had two versions of this in canon with Vader prying the identity of Luke's sister in ROTJ or Sidious and Dooku attacking Yoda in the season 6 TCW Yoda arc.

I think he revealed his true intentions when he mentioned Obi-wan. He probably think of Ahsoka as just another tool to get to Obi-wan and have his revenge. Anyone else find it strange that he directly report to the emperor after he discovered Ahsoka lives? I would have thought he would have hidden it to the emperor.

Am I the only one who thinks Vader could have possible internal conflict over Ahsoka? He might see her as a tool of revenge, sure, but I'm sure he's having some problems over her being a rebel as well. I'm sure it's no where near the level of conflict he has with Luke later on (since Luke is his son), but Ahsoka and him were still... pretty close, more close than he was with any other Jedi, other than Obi-Wan. He could have even had conflict over Obi-Wan.
