Concerning the beer, bread & coffee... to a fault of mine, I'm in no way a picky eater or drinker, hence my proclivity to partake & partially defend those things.

 

'Murica does produce really good hotdogs and BBQ. Your coffee is **** but it is getting better. When I first visited the US as an adult in ther early 1990s all you had was perculator coffee - total excrement. Now at least you have proper espresso but a plague on your house for Starbucks. Peet's is good though.

 

Peet's is what I'm drinking now after I had to stop drinking Costa Rican Cafe Volio I would order online.

Yes, but in the context of that time, this mindset absolutely makes sense, even if it's just a construct of ideology and patriotism. It's definitely not the be-all, end-all, and it's certainly been warped by 70 years of distance from the events of the war, but really, this is hardly new, just a fresh coat of paint on the ol' American Exceptionalism.

 

I prefer iced tea or a certain type of cola for my caffeine fix.

 

I would like Starbucks but their coffee is so overpriced and brewed so hot it will melt lead!

 

You can also find all around the world disgustingly pale British tourists that can't hold more than one drink without projectile vomiting and seem to think Ginger Spice was the epitome of style, but I don't hold it against your people.
