ST Andy Serkis (Supreme Leader Snoke) in Episode VII

Both looks pretty sweet. I like that when I look at him I can't really decide if he is a deformed human or alien. It's like he might be a human but something about the eyes makes me think otherwise. In any case he deffo got some horrible scarring or deformity. The Dark side is a tough mistress

 

so have we seen this design in any of the bts material?

 

Damage on the left looks like a combination of burns and blunt force trauma. Like he was standing next to an explosion. And we saw a Super Star Destroyer going down on Jakku. And we know of a Super Star Destroyer commanded by a mysterious Fleet Admiral who is manipulative long-range schemer talking about reforging and rebuilding the Empire in secret. And the First Order is a military dictatorship, a junta to be precise, which would imply that Snoke maybe held a military rank at some point in his life.

 

Does anybody remember who the REDDIT poster was that described snoke as having a deformed side of his face? Whoever said that probably saw the actual movie

 

Would it be annoying if I made a post with pics of all the recent villains that look like him? Cause it would be a very long post, like at least a dozen pics I can think off the top of my head

I was just watching this video and thinking that.




While Vader was corrupted by the dark side, he still had other injuries. If Snoke is on this Super Star Destroyer, I wonder if Luke Skywalker is responsible for bringing it down. Maybe Lor San Tekka saves or helps Luke while Snoke has to find a more difficult way of escaping.

 

He looks like a victim of a failed assassination attempt by a well-known apprentice. Plagueis lives!

 

Luke is not part of this battle. Read Lost Stars and you discover how and why the ship crashes and also who is on it

 

This concept is miles ahead of that silly snake look IMO. It has real character to it and really shows us a character who has been through some stuff. People are comparing it to people on drugs and I actually like that about this design. The dark side is like a drug that while making you powerful takes a terrible toll on your body. It shows that there's consequences to using it.

What i took from that pic was the allusion to Hammer films and that to me was mind blowing. Roughly around 1975ish or so i was fascinated with these books in my school library about Universal and Hammer Movie monsters and it was there that i learned the names of Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Bela Lugosi and Lon Chaney. So when the PT was announced i was stoked to see Christopher Lee coming in..i just thought how marvelous that was. When the allusion to the Hammer horror films in the pic was mentioned..i am once again amazed and stoked to how JJ has approached this film. Today there are more sci fi flicks than ever before but before star wars we just had sinbad and universal/hammer horror films which had been made before the late 60's. Harry Ray Manhausen was basically the ILM of the era. It's just awesome that JJ definetly had shared a childhood so much in common with us "old timers".

Decemeber 18th will be a day long remembered.

 

Snoke looks like someone who survived a Force lightning attack.

Snoke has the same big crease up the forehead, albeit crooked, as Sidious had.

I love the the sublime look. It's far better than a Muun. He is a cadaver.

 

The darkside can warp you. Who is to say lightning would do that to you? Luke got blasted.

Any idea's on what species Snoke could be? He looks like a combo of a Muun, Kaminoan, and a Pau'an. Or just a human with an unfortunately screwed up head.

 

That's true, but when Windu deflected the lightning back at Sidious it scarred him in a similar way. Could just be a coincidence.

 

Hmm. I thought that was about the Imperial Star Destroyer Inflictor. I didn't realize it also explained who was on board the Super Star Destroyer and why it crashes.

 

Looks like someone learned the secret of cheating death.

 

I just don't like bighead villains. If this design didn't have a bighead, I'd be ok with it. It's still too close to Palpatine for me. They needed to do something visually different from the Emperor with this character and I'm just not seeing it yet.

 

He's a cross between Voldemort and Two-Face !

But yeah it looks like a rehash of Palpatine. Not sure why they'd make him THAT similar!How much can they actually keep things the same?
