I am going to start this topic by first explaining that this is not my work - I found it on another site. The user claims to have connections that allowed him to have firsthand knowledge of the current working plot details for Episode 8. Obviously, as with any leak, he would not name the source or explain exactly how he came to acquire such information.

What follows is a compilation of the details that he had released over time, sorted and organized into order (sort of). You may read it and decide for yourself if this is just a work of fan fiction (if it is, I'd have to say, it's actually pretty good), or is this an actual leak...remember, just because a leak occurred now, does not mean that the final finished product will be exactly as is told here - many script changes are made throughout the course of a movie's life, so if anything, this would be a first draft type, and therefore, subject to change after a year or so.

HUGE Plot spoilers for Star Wars Episode 8.

-If someone major is to die, it's not known at the time. The full plot hasn't been decided yet.

-Ren's mask will return, though newer and shinier. Minor changes to his uniform as well. The scar is similar to Anakin's, just bigger. His training is shown towards the middle of the film. Also this movie picks up almost right where the other left off. Before his training though, we see his body repaired,..by Snoke.(more on that later) New saber as well, as his other one was lost. No cross guards this time, with a clean blade. Signaling his new focused self.

-Rey begins her training as Luke, though he is extremely hesitant at first. His hesitation is not due to her, but himself. There is no one at the temple with Luke. He sees his bloodline as permanently tainted, despite his own resistance to the dark side. It's a curse that was destined from the beginning.(more on that later)

-Rey is found to be the direct descendant of Obi-Wan Kenobi. She is not a Skywalker. She was brought into Luke's academy just before the betrayal of Ben Solo. She had some training, but during the new purge, she was taken back by her parents who were there. They escaped with her, and Obi wan's daughter and husband and left her on Jakku to be watched by Tekka, though she was unaware he was watching over her. Both parents were killed by the first order once they caught up with them in their attempts to find her.

-Leia is still General of the Resistance, but she is nearly inconsolable. She spends much of the movie in the background too destroyed mentally by what happened in the last movie. From what I understand, she is still General in public, but a wreck behind the scenes.

-Finn awakens towards the beginning with immediate concern for Rey. He wants to follow her, but he's told by Maz when he speaks with her that she needs to be alone with Luke for now, and her time with Luke is best not disturbed for the importance of her role. Finn doesn't like this, and eventually wants to make his way to Rey.(More on that later)Finns lineage is never explained in this, nor even talked about.(seems as if its never going to be an important subject.

-The main focus of the resistance is to find out what the First Orders next plans are. There are reports that they have gathered more to their cause out of fear of what happened in the first movie, and rumors of another possible super weapon. This is not verified at all in the movie though and is implied to possibly be a smoke and mirrors tactic to bring systems fearfully to their side. Hux is seen as the one who is leading the structuring of the First order and bringing more to the cause. The loss of the Senate has caused chaos throughout the galaxy, and many are joining with the First Order for 'protection'

-Back to Luke and Rey. During the training Rey receives, Luke shows her through the old Jedi Temple and much is learned of the Jedi's past, including his explanation of a force tree he has in his possession(it acts as a holocron I guess?), which was at the temple on Coruscant, and contains the essence and teachings of the Jedi throughout the years. There is another tree, but Luke does not have it.

-Back to Snoke, Snoke is revealed to in fact be the former Darth Plagueis. This is revealed to Ren when Snoke repairs his body and saves him from death. Ren was in fact VERY close to death once he reached Snoke, in fact he breathes what would have been his last breath just as he gets to him. Snoke though uses his powers to fully revive him, though he still carries the scars of his wounds it seems. Ren is shocked by this,and utters a line similar to what Anakin said, "you can save people from dying?" and Snoke explains to him his back story. He explains his connection to the dark side, and the betrayal of Palpatine.

He was able to revive himself, but once back on his feet was unable to challenge Palpatine due to Palpatine's growth in power both through the force and his empire. There is implication that Snoke wasn't so much angry at Palpatine as he was disgusted that he had come so far and yet still failed, including his failed attempt to destroy Snoke.

Snoke says he knew Palaptine would fail due to the limitations he placed on himself, and being more concerned with his own power, rather than doing the dark sides will. Snoke is now under the belief that he is the TRUE avatar of the Dark Side, and he has been chosen to carry out the dark will of the universe. He has abandoned the Sith in general. As he believes the Sith's principles continually led to failure. Gone now are the rule of two, and teachings will no longer be withheld, hence the finishing of Ren's training as Snoke is now convinced that he must empower his allies more. He believes that The dark side needs no more rules, than that of winning against the light. The focus of Rens training is to rid him of ANY light he may still have, as he explains that Palpatine's inability to do so with Vader is what brought him down.

-Back to Luke and Rey- Once that is revealed Rey asks about Ren and the darkside, Snoke, etc. Luke explains to her that Ren was his nephew and was tainted by Snoke before he ever actually turned. As Snoke set his sights on the him the moment he was born. Lukes fear is that his bloodline is forever cursed. Luke knows who Snoke/Plagueis really is, and he believes his fathers miracle birth, was due to Snoke. Because of this, he believes the Skywalker bloodline is always in danger of turning to the dark side as it was born of the dark side. Though he trusts in himself, he fears that any Skywalker involvement with the force is destined to fall from grace. He shows admiration for Kenobi and his lineage as they have always been of good spirits, and this is why Luke believes that Rey, not himself, is the best hope to win against the Dark side.

-Back to Finn. Finn has made some head way in the Resistance, but he's still very concerned for Rey, and he wants to find her. Despite being told not to, he is goes to try and meet with Rey. A big mistake as this leads the first order to Luke and Rey. The troopers having chips installed in them, which leads Knights along with Phasma and her forces directly to them. This is where everything takes a turn for the worse.


-Also, the lineage of the Skywalker family is a well kept secret. NO ONE besides the Skywalkers/solos/Snoke themselves are aware that Anakin Skywalker was Darth Vader. This was kept a secret, in order to not lose favor among the Republic and resistance, as knowing that secret may make people fearful of the Skywalkers.

-Rey meets with the force ghost of Kenobi in this. Her conversation with him gives her hope, and he does in fact warn her that what Luke said was perhaps true, that that although he believes in Luke the shroud of the dark will always affect the Skywalker lineage.

-Luke meets with the force ghost of Vader/Anakin in this as well. They speak of Rey, and though Vader/Anakin force ghost is twisted, he believes that Luke has had more than enough opportunity to go towards the Dark and still has resisted. Because of this Luke has proven that he can defeat it. If the universe is truly to find balance, he's going to have to get involved once more directly, as he doesn't believe Rey can handle Snoke on her own, and it's not going to help waiting until she can. If the force ghost of Anakin has spoken to Ben, it's not revealed or spoken of in this episode. Only Luke is seen conversing with him. Luke also speaks with Obi Wan, one of the times Rey speaks with him.

-Basically Snoke wants Luke and Rey more than ever, as he knows they are the biggest threats to the dark side. Remember he's more concerned about the preservation of the dark sides rule over the universe, than his own power and control. It's all about eliminating the light for him.

-The First order is perhaps even stronger than before, now that the senate is gone and the first order pulled more to their cause. The Republic is in complete disarray, and only the Resistance seems to know what it wants to do.

-Another note I just remembered, Benicio Del Toro's character is one of the Knights of Ren. All of whom are force sensitive, but not necessarily to the degree Ren is. None of them have light sabers. Though each are skilled in their own way. They are similar to inquisitors of the past. The Knights roles are upped big time, as they along with Ren are on the hunt for Rey and Luke. They lead the charge most of the time without Ren though, because of Ren's training. Benicio is the leader in his place, and is very smooth, yet very ruthless. He is a bounty hunter in a sort of sense, but he's not doing it for the Bounty, he's doing it under the orders of Snoke along with the rest of the Knights. Snoke understands the threat of Luke being brought back into the action, and he wants it stopped at all costs.


-Rey is captured, alive, and a bit wounded, after the KOR lead Ren and the first order to the Jedi temple due to Finns mistake in leading them there.

-She is to be brought to Snoke. Pretty obvious why, but exact reasons are unknown.

-There is a fierce battle between Luke with Rey vs. Ren and the Knights. The focus is to separate Rey from Luke, and from there she is captured. Luke and Ren in particular have a fierce Lightsaber battle, which is broken up after Ren has it confirmed that Rey is captured. Luke appears to be trying to work Ren mentally, though Ren does good to resist, with a sort of implication that Luke is not going full potential on him. Though he does compliment Ben, as he continually calls him, on how far he's come, and how it's too bad he holds him self back by being in the dark. From there they leave after Resistance forces also show up with Leia, as she sensed what was happening. They fight off the remaining First Order forces, as they leave with their mission accomplished.

-An interesting scene happens similar to TFA when Solo saw Ren, where Leia sees Ren as he's about to take off except in this scene, he also sees her. There is a long pause, between the two, and Ren is visibly shaken.(perhaps the light is still there, despite Snoke's attempts).

-Leia then meets with Luke, who after a tearful reunion, she finally convinces him to come back and to be apart of the Resistance. Luke knowing he has no choice, agrees.

-Strangely there is nothing about Finn yet in regards to this. He's becoming more and more curious to me.

-I wish there was more to tell, but the ending of the movie or last part isn't completely decided yet, though the outline is there. More to come as time comes, but it may be awhile.

-As for how the movie will start: the plan calls for a ship to be seen arriving and being landed on another larger ship. The ship has Hux and a very critically injured Ren onboard along with some troopers. They bring him to Snoke, on a hovering bed similar to the one see in ROTS. Hux, hurries as he's concerned Ren won't make it, and fearful that the Supreme Leader will kill them all if they don't make it. This leads to what I described about Snoke reviving Ren. I was told that Snoke appears perfectly calm, and doesn't at all seem upset that they 'were almost late'. Which he shows why as he revives Ren after telling everyone to leave the room.


-Han is still dead. No information on how he will be used exactly. But with the flashbacks being big in this, I imagine he'll be seen in that way.

-I've been told there will be a lot of flashbacks in this. The fact that history has repeated itself is not lost on Luke and Snoke, and they both are making a point to recognize the mistakes of the past. Which is the common theme here, as they are looking to each win by breaking the cycles. Which is why Luke left, as he believed that removing himself, removed the his ability to contribute to the cycle due to his lineage.

-Also, the force tree I spoke of is now at the Old Temple, but it was at Luke's new academy beforehand. It seemingly has the ability to show the past via the force somehow, and it will be used to help train Rey. It is a very important artifact in the history of the Jedi. It is taken in the end by the way by one of the KOR. Again, another tree is spoken of and it's implied Luke will seek it. These are fairly small trees by the way.


-From what I understand, Kylo knows very little of Rey. It is not insinuated whether Snoke knows who she truly is or not. He just knows that she's a threat. The secret of Kenobi having kin isn't known to most. Her parents are dead, for real, and the only people who know are Luke and Leia.
I'm thinking Ren's just not all that close to her, or ever was. He just knows that she was the one who survived the attack. You would think he'd have a special interest in her, being that she's the granddaughter of the one who chopped up his grandfather, but that may be further explored yet.
Kylos story is interesting to me as I really have no prediction on what he ends up as. I think ending up the hero is in stone, but I have no idea how his story ends.

Now, as for my 2 cents...I have my doubts as to someone getting all that information from a movie crew, which, by all accounts, is as secretive as any company has even been about any movie ever. With TFA, we know from the actors that they didn't even have the complete script - only their lines, and they were not allowed to ask other people about their parts, etc. if they were not in the scene with them. Also, they supposedly used a special kind of copy-proof paper for the scripts that disintegrates after use and they were only given it that morning of the shooting.

The only thing being, is that they could have lied, or at least exaggerated the truth about how secretive they were...not sure why they would have done that, maybe to hype up the movie even more by making it sound appealing (anything that secretive HAS to be good, right?)....but we do know that almost every detail was indeed leaked before the movie was released. So, it is possible for leaks to be true...but I'm a bit skeptical at this point about this one, since the release date is so far away, how would he have such knowledge of all these details so far ahead of time? Is he friends with Rian Johnson or something? And even if he was, would Rian really start dishing all these details to someone who (obviously) can't be trusted? Hardly. So who could his source be that would know all of this? Seems unlikely to me that any of this is true, or if it is, it was simply good fiction writing that ended up as a lucky guess, with some details being partly right in the end.

Nevertheless, I'd say this was a pretty decent attempt at Episode 8, and in answering a lot of the questions people have about TFA, but I think the dead-giveaway is that it doesn't really create a lot of new questions....he just went on to try and answer as many as he could...but we all know that they won't be answering all questions in 8 when 9 is going to need to have answers as well. I just think they are going to spread out the answers over the next two movies equally. And for that reason, I think this plot just puts too many of these to bed too quickly. I wouldn't be surprised if Snoke wasn't revealed until ep 9, and after all Andy Serkis said that Snoke was an original character, so I'm doubting the whole Plageuis theory....Good fanfic, probably not going to make a good Episode 8, though, IMO.

Ah, good to know that they're doing the lightsaber effects before principal photography has begun. I hope the footage they shoot matches up to the lightsaber shots.

Edit; also, that's not a plot. That's just a load of general speculation about character motivations with a few fights shoved in. Voting "fact or fiction" seems just like a way of trying to get attention for a thread; I'd recommend that the best way of showing that this is fiction is by disregarding it.

Or maybe the OP could contact mods and discreetly reveal his sources so we can know whether to trust you?

 

If it's fiction, I like it. If it's a genuine leak, it's terrible.

What source? You want to know where I got all of this? It's from IMDB forums. I already stated that it is not my work, and I already stated that I DON'T think this is real.

What exactly did you want from me? I put this in the category of speculation...isn't that what we are supposed to do? I thought this was done by the books...no?

 

Misread the start of your post, but the point stands; asking people to vote "fact" or "leak" comes over as clickbaity. It's almost certainly fake, and so while posting the content is understandable, setting up a question to falsely keep the thread busy is a bit inappropriate; in practice it means people who don't believe it deserves any credibility are forced to either post "fake", or see "true" given a disproportionate amount of votes.

Plus that's an outline? Ive never seen or heard an outline that is more that a few paragraphs, that's more like someone getting carried away and going on and on....and on...

I am not one to be negative, but this sounds like the worst movie of all time. Fiction, however.

 

Almost everything in there just uses the latest fan theories to explain things. Like Rey is a Kenobi and is the only hope because the Kenobi's are pure light side users? Not buying that at all. I think the only things that this possibly could have guessed right is that Luke is hesitant about getting involved and that the movie will end with the villains taking a huge win. I just don't see half of these things happening as anyone here could have guessed this already. TFA had so many fan theories and look at how many of them turned out to be correct? The only stuff that was right was most of MSW's stuff. These new films are not as easily predicted.

Yes this is exactly how you write an outline for a movie.

Obviously the big twist in the movie is that the mask is shinier and that minor changes has been made to his uniform. That's what you start with. This is a fantastic story.

Right there, doesn't really fit with the character we are presented with in TFA.

This a womanw ho saw her home planet destroyed and didn't fall to pieces........

 

Creative, but not believable. And I don't really like how it makes Finn such a screw-up. Certainly they'd have better plans for him after repeatedly beating him down in TFA.

I don't believe that the story is accessible to many people at this point, so I dont buy this as a whole, however, I do think some aspects of this will wind up being accurate. At the same time, many of those things have been speculated about well befire this "leak", so thise elements turning out to be true wont mean much for the credibility of this in whole.
