Gaming Star Wars: Battlefront (2015) & Battlefront 2 (2017) [Mod Approved]

On the downside, they are still on Tatooine and Sullust, so no new planets unfortunately. However, I am interested to see how a map like Jabba's Palace plays out

 

Don't think I'll be playing the new maps, modes, or with the two, "Iconic," (ironic is more appropriate imo) new heroes.

Put in for a refund on my season pass last night. Have a case number. Hopefully it works out. If not, whatever. I still play the game every few days. By the time the 4th DLC is out though it will likely be every few months. Heh...

 

I'm still wondering how the DLC works for those that didn't buy the Season pass. Could you buy a map or two individually? Would each new weapon be sold separately? What about the two new heroes?

 

From the DLC that's been released recently, its all in an update. I haven't needed to buy anything yet

 

I don't understand. Did you buy the Season Pass? I haven't seen that the "Outer Rim" maps, new weapons, and heroes are all free DLC.

 

Season pass refund failed. EA said it was possible, Sony said it was not.

 

No, I don't have the Season Pass. I was just saying all the new content that's been added to the game like Luke & Han's hoth gear, Leia's Endor outfit, and new maps have just been contained in updates. I dunno if the new DLC will be free either, I hope it will be

 

Oh yeah. Eventually they will be releasing DLC available only for purchase. They've gotta justify the Season Pass in the first place.

Omg, about to say the same thing! Or a hero pickup too. I just shoot and melee the person until they disappear to let them know what a jerk they were for stealing my Starfighter/hero

 

It's not essentially the same thing, but I always get happily surprised when I finally come across a Hero pickup in modes like Supremacy and Walker Assault. Of course, it makes sense for it to be extremely rare to come by, but I stil get surprised whenever it happens to me.

- and then some dude comes jetpacking in from the right and takes it for himself. Tr8tor!

 

In either Walker Assault or Supremacy, I like to be the A-Wing pilot. I'm a killer pilot in that starfighter. I always get really pissed whenever someone takes it from me lol

 

People who play boba fett really need to get a grip on how to use him. I was playing quite a bit of HvV lately, and the current trend seems to be that most people who play boba go in like a bat out of hell only to die within 10 seconds. Also, I'm not sure if it's just me, but does anyone else tend to get one particular hero/villian almost every time they play? I'd love to play a little bit more of vader, boba, and Luke, but I always seem to get solo and palpatine.

I prefer the x-wing personally. It just feels better, more accurate, and it flies better in my opninion. Also, I see where you are coming from as far as people taking your the ship tokens, it's especially annoying when the jet pack onto it right when you are a step away from it

 

I don't usually play the Heroes v Villains mode, but the Daily Challenge today was to kill 10 with a hero, so I was forced into playing it for awhile. I'm just no good with any hero; but eventually I got around to killing 10; mostly with Han Solo. I got to see the new outfit for Solo on the Hoth Map.

 

Ahsoka's Tano I've seen both Han & Luke's Goth outfits. I have yet to see Leia's Endor one

I'd like to always get Leia, but it seems like I always get Luke and I'm a failure as a Jedi

 

I must be the only person who does not care for hero, vehicle or fighter squadron hero pickups. I really only enjoy playing as a trooper or pilot of the standard star fighters.

 

I like the flying too. I had this guy snatch the Tie Fighter power up on Hoth just in front of me. I was already on the edge of my seat, giddy as a child, AND THEN A SCOUT TROOPER OUT OF NOWHERE! I thought I'd give him a few hits with the rifle, but then he didn't even use the Tie at all. Just did the laugh emote at me a few times, so taking it out on him backfired a bit. It was pretty funny right there and then especially because I got more excited the closer I got to the power up, but it hurts a lot more to recount the foul deed now.

 

I remember seeing Princess Leia in her Endor outfit a little while back, and it looked quite awesome. I was right back in ROTJ!

As a guy, who mostly play the big modes, I can certainly relate to that thought. There were times in the past where I would come across a Hero pickup, and then be unsure if I could make use of it and thus justify picking it up in the first place. I've crossed that bridge now, but since it's rare to find the Hero pickup in those modes, I take it as Battlefront's version of a Bonus Level.

 

You're not the only one. Although I'd be lying if I said that I don't try getting the AT-ST on modes like Walker Assault and Supremacy. Fighter Squadron is my favorite mode, I play it almost every day I play the game; and yet I think I've only picked up a "Hero" vehicle once since I bought the game. Doesn't matter, since I still wind up among the top in kills and/or starships destroyed anyway.

 

Eh, the only pickup I don't care for is either the TIE fighter or or Interceptor. I've never been able to control those. I'm an ace in either the X-Wing or A-Wing, tho

 

The problem with any of the starship vehicle powerups on a ground assault mode is that you're automatically at the mercy of any enemy ships in the sky at the time. More often than not, I'd pick up the vehicle token, and get shot down within a minute before I had the chance to get my bearings.

 

... which is pretty much why I don't pick up the vehicle pickups anymore.
