I guess if he hasn't been turned yet in Bloodline, that would probably really affect him. Or maybe he has already turned and that is also ruining Leia's name. But from the Pablo tweets I'm guessing he hasn't turned yet? I do get the impression that Kylo is very disenchanted with politics, especially in the Republic (ie "you equivocate like a senator"). This may have a lot to do with that?

I think the Skywalkers (Luke and Leia) kept the identity of Vader a secret....and somehow it got out (courtesy a smear campaign by Snoke and the FO), spoiling Leia's career and driving Luke away...I don't think it was only about the events at the jedi academy (maybe that was the final straw)...so Kylo must have been fed this propaganda by Snoke- Leia (liar + traitor) and Han (murder + thief)...he must be so messed up.

I would imagine being able to sense people's feelings or read their minds at a young age would have a profound effect on a child.
Not really understanding why these sudden and likely overwhelming feelings just hit you...not having someone there to explain what is happening, and the like must have been both confusing and frightening.
There was probably no one in Ben's life back then that he could share these fears with since Han pretty much dismissed Force related issues and Liea was possibly too occupied with her new duties.
Ben may have been introverted even back then, and was simply too afraid to let anyone know what he was experiencing.
A excellent opportunity for someone like Snoke to step in and offer 'guidance' or 'advice' in such matters....

I have read in the past about real life clairvoyants who have such gifts of foresight and sense perseptions.
In one case, a woman talked about her experiences as a child and not understanding why she was sensing these overwhelming feelings coming at her from others when in their prescense, and 'seeing' things in her mind that would just suddenly appear in her head and days later they would come to pass.
She found it all confusing and emotionally overwhelming as a child until she reached her teenage years and learned more about others who shared similar impressions.

So yes, I am positive Ben suffered from a similar situation....feeling and seeing things from other people and places and not really understanding why it was happening.

Yes, it was probably a secret and no one knew...until someone found out or decided to expose her. I wonder who "exposed" her? We know Snoke knew Luke and Leia were Vader's children. I wonder if he was connected to that information being made public? In the novel Bloodlines, there is an assassination attempt on Leia which I think maybe related to FO insurgents or sympathizers, but now I also wonder if it was someone who wanted to get rid of Vader's progeny. Although, I don't know...the first option of it being FO related people seems somewhat more feasible.

That is more than a 'barely visible' scar.

And in the SW universe there are Bacta tanks easily available....immersion in it can completely eliminate scars or minimize it....so I doubt he will have a huge gash across his face....his scar will most probably resemble his grandfather's scar in depth and width....so definitely not ugly by any standards, even if across his face.

Apart from their appearance looking kinda similar, idk if I buy this one. Snoke is the biggest mystery for me. As long as he's not Palpatine (yes, I absoloutely hate this theory) then I'm pretty much open to anything regarding who Snoke is.

based on Funko bubble head of Scarred Kylo (super cute). It's like longer Tyrion Lannister scar (from his jaw bone to his forehead). Does anyone remember if his eye is alright or that got smashed too?

 

He does look a lot like Snoke.....I feel he will either be Snoke or a KOR.
