I can't seem to make the Kylo-leaving-Rey-on-Jakku idea work, especially from a timeline perspective. Still too many unknowns. Why? Were his intentions good? Was it to save her?

LOL at dried apricot! Am I the only one who found Maz annoying?

I understand how you're felling.Rey falling in love with someone who committed patricide is problematic to some but to me it would make her more complex and in a sense human.Ultimately you can't help who you fall in love with but for Rey it could be test does she kill Kylo or join him to the Dark side? She could struggle between loving him and knowing that she has to kill him if he doesn't realize the errors of his ways.Of Course her parentage can play a huge role as well especially if she comes from Dark users which I think would be the best development of her character and makes her rethink her beliefs and views that are very black and white right now.
I think it's interesting that originally she was suppose to find Luke's light saber because of how alone she was feeling after Finn leaves not because she hears her young self a minute later :
The discussion and debate was making Rey weary.Coupled with Finn's discussion and his walking out on the rest of them,it made her wonder, not for the first time, what she was doing here. She felt lost and alone. No different, she told herself, than she had felt on Jakku. Alone...alone...It echoed in her mind as she set alone at the table. Then something came, stealthy and unidentifiable to fill it .A feeling unrecognized yet somehow familiar.Drawn to it,she rose.

Yeah I think this will involve someone leaking who Leia's father was. Well, esp. since the title is Bloodline :p
But I wonder if it will come out and show more of Snoke? Do you think they would do that or save it for the movies?

My gosh, congrats on 1,000 Pages!

Kylo Ren "That lightsaber...belongs to me!"
Force Ghost Brobi-Wan "Yeah, well, you know, that's just like, your opinion, man."

I actually have the theory that Kylo might have known Rey as a child if she's related to Snoke since it appears that he and Leia know each other. If he was experimenting on her and/or wanted to kill her Kylo might have decided to protect her from Snoke because he has grown to care about her.I'm wondering if the young Senator Ransom Castefo that will be Leia's enemy in Bloodline is Snoke himself or maybe he could be Rey's father?
Btw,someone on the Dubrovnik thread posted a more clear picture of the girl that's supposed to be with Finn and I deffinatly think that's Kelly Marie Tran's character.

They look like a cross between the 1940s and citizens of The Capital from The Hunger Games. I am dying to know what it is.

This is a great point to reiterate as long as people keep bringing up how hideous Kylo might be because of his scar.

Kylo Ren's scar will look as good or as bad as they want it to. Again, with everything they've done to ensure that Ren is perceived as a hottie, it's very doubtful that they'll make him look like an orc or a mountain troll unless they really plan to disfigure him all the way like Anakin, which would be beyond lame. Been there, done that.

Anyway, if Reylo is endgame, a scar that was part of the design of the character isn't going to stop it from being so. I'm sure it will be tastefully handled to maximize his appeal, like every other detail of Kylo Ren's appearance. u_u

    Unrelated:
I just purchased Bloodline on pre-sale. I'm really starting to get really excited for this book. There is a big chance that Kylo Ren's portrayal in that story will change some people's perception of him and make him more sympathetic, I think. It wont change what he did in TFA or our collective condemnation of him. But once we see what he's struggled through and see him through the eyes of Leia, I dare to think even the anti-redemptionists might soften their stance a tiny-miney bit.

I feel like his character will be done justice in that story because the author ships Reylo. I mean, that is HUGE. It means she knows him and appreciates his complexity, who he has been, who he is, and who he can become. <3

I think they did the scar also so Adam doesn't have to wear the helmet at all, or as much.

Honestly I'm expecting something like this, but extending all the way down the cheek. There is technology in Star Wars that heals scars so I don't believe it will be nearly as big as it appeared at the end of The Force Awakens. It'll likely be thinner, and it definitely won't look bad.

A scar never stopped anybody from liking a character, and this scar is hugely symbolic in regards to both Rey and Ren.

I posted this a couple weeks ago. ^^

"Acknowledging and coming to terms with one's bloodline is definitely going to be a major theme in this saga. I feel this could be especially poignant for Leia's character. Leia is, of course, as much a Skywalker as Luke, yet she has never been treated as such. Her family's tragic circumstances were inherited from a bloodline she doesn't seem to even recognize in herself (General Leia Organa). In the original trilogy, Luke was given the chance to reconcile with, forgive, and love the father behind the mask. Leia, not so much. Leia's development in this saga could see her come to terms with "the truth that is [her] family," to accept and feel the overwhelming power that Anakin passed on to her, and that she subsequently passed on to Ben. When discussing Ben in TFA, Han blames Ben's misfortunes on his Skywalker blood. He has "too much Vader in him." Even in death, Anakin is held responsible for Ben's Dark side affliction. An interaction between Anakin's force ghost and Leia would be truly moving and is something I would love to see."

I'm just thrilled. Seems this book will delve into Leia's feelings toward her bloodline. The cover is gorgeous. Leia's political career must have burned to ashes in the shadow of her father's memory. People in the Republic probably ostracized and condemned the Skywalker family once the truth came out. There's no way Ben's childhood wasn't horribly affected by this. He was probably looked at as the child of a demon. His past might be even more tragic than any of us predicted...

That's a great description, though I'd perhaps say 1930s instead :) At least for the ladies' dresses. The ladies' hair is a mixture of 1960s beehives and Edwardian looks. The men have a "Christopher Lee as Dracula" chic type of thing going on.

Whatever it is, I love the vibes of decadent elegance this place gives off.

    Lol.....love the gif....

People come up with the strangest reasons to dissuade others from liking Kylo.....from now on every time people say Kylo will be scarred and ugly, I'll bring up the bacta tank and post a pic....:p But that aisde, I agree that Kylo should retain a scar...but as you rightly pointed out, it will be done to enhance his looks, not diminish it (considering what a hit he is with female audience)

I'm planning to order the book also.....especially after seeing today's images. I am also hoping we get some clues regarding Snoke's identity and that Ben Solo's reasons for joining the FO will be explained (I doubt we'll find out about the jedi temple/academy incident though).

Here's the somewhat clearer image. That girl looks tiny. John Boyega (or his stunt double in this case) isn't even a huge guy. She also looks to be wearing a green or brown jumpsuit.

I think it is actually KMT in that picture, not her stunt double, but for sure that is john's stunt double since he has been in London according to his social media.

It looks like Finn (John Boyega or his double) and Kelly Marie Tran's character are riding a Gualama outside Maz's new cantina maybe? (I heard rumors that Maz has a new Cantina somewhere there)....I think we are seeing a new romance... [face_love]

I also did a little more research....the Gualama has two other related equine species- the Gualaar and the Gualaara. The Gualaars and Gualamas are white in colour like this one.

Gualaars were used to draw Padme's funeral carriage. (Now I am almost sure Dubrovnik is Naboo since these horse species are kept by Naboo royals and nobility.)
