ST The Romantic Future of Kylo Ren and Rey

Obviously because its the most important freaking thing in the movie...force bond much.

Alright, if I understood Sforza right, what happened is this:

In one scene we had Finn and Tran on a space-horse looking very friendly. She said she was certain of this, that they were hugging and getting close. There may even have been a kiss. So it appears as though Finn is indeed getting a real love-interest.

Alright, now for the interesting stuff. In a separate scene involving a wall we had a young man (apparently quite thin, not very attractive) in a weird-looking helmet who was asked to "stare at the stars." Meanwhile, Sforza specifically heard the director say "This is the scene where Rey is confused about her feelings" to him.

It could mean a lot of things, honestly. Perhaps Rey is feeling lonely because of Finn and Tran? But then again, we don't know how connected those scenes are. Scenes are filmed out-of-sequence and Rey wasn't actually in the scene, the scene was just "about" her (which tells me Ridley will be going to Dubrovnik as well). Apparently these scenes are supposed to take place closer to the end of the film, but there's no doubt in my mind that this young man is not some kind of random new love-interest (because he's too young and because he just didn't look the type according to Sforza). My first guess would be that Rey is feeling confused because this young man has some kind of link to her family. The line didn't appear to be directly referencing a Ren (though that is a possibility). It was very ambiguous, as one might expect.

So all we know is: "Rey is confused about her feelings [about something/someone]."

 

Right?!?

We haven't heard so much as a snippet if Daisy had a chemistry test with anyone since the movie came out. This pretty much answers that question!

 

Well thats one other spanner in the works of Reylo quite nicely removed!

She's not a Solo

She will not end up with Finn

 

OH GOD SOMEONE TELL RIDLEY THAT SHE GOT ASSAULTED IN THAT SCENE. What a disgusting person... auditioning with that scene? What was she thinking? Abuse supporter!!! *Sarcasm*

It doesn't specify whether she actually read it with Adam (who was already cast), but the choice of scene alone is...intriguing.

Pleeeeeease film makers, do not let this drag on in some triangle a la Twilight. Please let Finn have his LI and be happy.

 

I didn't necessarily mean in a "jealous" way. Finn is her best friend. Even if she has no romantic feelings for him, it would hurt to see him spending time with another girl, especially if she feels as though he is family. It might make her think back on "other things" that have transpired between herself and a certain "other" character. Very Romeo & Juliet if you ask me.

It really sounds like the line of direction could mean just about anything. I'm terrible at not reading into things, but it doesn't really sound like there's anything to read into this one way or another for now.

And even if Rey were a bit jealous/sad about FinnTrann, I don't think that means anything for Reylo, other than possibly making things more complicated.

 

Ok,am a I the only one seeing this but Kylo looking up to Snoke as a parental figure due to feeling abandoned by his family and Rey looking up to Han as a parental figure due to having abandonment issues. Suspicious much?Suspcious like Rey being related to Snoke(she can as lo be a Kenobi)but dining with Kylo's family and Kylo being at Snoke's side where Rey should be?
And apparently Daisy's addition role for Rey was the interrogation scene!If she was only meant to be Kylo's enemy she could have auditioned with any other scene by they chose that one.This is super important since we were led to believe Daisy only had chemistry reads with John and Oscar but the interrogation sc me with Adam/Kylo is what ultimately won her the role of Rey.

 

Like I said, we have no idea how connected the scenes are. They could be one after another or they could take place ages apart. I agree, this is nothing to read into. It means nothing... just that Rey is confused, which we wouldn't have needed the director's confirmation about xD

That crack video is everything , one of my favorite things on the internet ever. Especially the interrogation scene with the Careless Whisper unmasking, and the hashtags after that...

The first time I saw that video I think I laughed so hard I scared the cat.

Sforza dear, you've dealt with all the pressure like a pro. We can be civil.. see? Kind of. Not really, not when it comes to reylo, I mean.. we try LOL. Thanks for finally spilling and for the amazing detective work. I can almost feel the thread heaving a collective sigh of (a certain kind of) relief.

 

I still believe/hope she is confused about her feeling for Kylo. That could be the only thing she will be confused about. <3 If this won't happen, I'll sail with my ship far far away.

Honestly and I'm saying this objectively it just doesn't make narrative sense for them to spend so much time this and the next episodes over Rey being confused/jealous over Finn and FinTran when it looks like Finn and Tran's character will be having a romance so Finn and Rey getting together is not a possibility and really is not that important to the whole storyline so why should the audience get invested in that?Instead it would make much more sense if Rey's feelings for Kylo are starting to change especially since she was full on hating him in TFA.Rey also possibly falling in love with Kylo would have huge romaji cations both on her character and the story.It could lead you guessing what she would do with those feelings?Will that could her judgment?Will she change sides?It also pretty much eliminates the possibility that Luke's her father since Disney won't out incest in a movie watched by little kids.

 

It's possible! But the connection to this other young man makes me wonder. I really doubt he's any kind of love-interest. The fact that you said he didn't look the type says enough for me... Hollywood has a type when it comes to love-interests, and anyway no writer would introduce that kind of dynamic between the hero and a new character in the second movie with no prior development. Finn is very different. He had to find his own B-Plot, but we already know Rey's A-Plot is going to surround Luke in some way, and very likely Ren. It just makes me curious about what this young man's connection to the narrative might be.

Then again, the whole "staring at the stars" bit sounds very Romeo & Juliet to me, which brings me back John Williams' musical cues. They mean everything to be honest. It's entirely possible the line was about Ren. We'll have to wait and see because we just don't have the information we need.

Agreed, I was just trying to be totally objective and not discount the fact that Finn and Tran were also filming scenes. I did say they might have zero connection to each other... which is probably the case.

I agree with you 100% it only makes sense in the context of TFA. He is the only confusing character. Finn is easy nothing to be confused about there. And, if she was interested in Finn in that way and Finn was interested in her that way, would he be kissing and giggling with Tran on the Space horse. NO!

 

What if this was very young Ben???? Like some flashback... just guessing. I feel better now when I shared my problem, like I released my soul. <3
