Ok you type in Mara Jade in Google and there are a lot of different pictures of what Mara might look like. I was curious to know what readers saw her as in there imaginations and whether any of the pics matched that for people ?
My fave was always how she looked on the Vision of the Future book cover

Also do you think she might pop up in Rebels at all ?

Well, she'll always look like Shannon McRandle to me.

The thing with the Shannon look to me, was wondering, how was she able to have a sleeve blaster without sleeves ???

Yes, I get what you mean. The outfit was a problem. But physically speaking, I just can't see her another way.

Lol that is a lot sleeves. I dunno I just can't picture Mcrandle as her. Though better with the straight hair than the perm though that's for sure

The Survivor's Quest cover is what I tend to see as the "default" version. Thanks to some of the pictures in the Essential Reader's Guide, I also sometimes "see" her being "played" by the Black Widow-version of Scarlett Johansson (I certainly "hear" the character using MCU Widow's voice).

I kind of doubt Mara is going to be a Rebels character. First of all, historically, the Disney iteration likes to upgrade places, technologies, and world-building from Legends to canon, virtually never characters and events. Second of all, I heard a rumor that the Seventh Sister was based on Mara, so why would they include two such characters (albeit Mara was always an anti-hero, at wort, while the Seventh Sister is a through-and-through villain.

Since Mara Jade is basically just Mary Jane Watson put into the Star Wars universe I think Kirsten Dunst would be as good as anybody.

Then again I think Mary Jane from that trilogy of Spider Man movies was kind of a mix of both Mary Jane and Gwen Stacy.

And I thought Emma Stone was more Black Cat too ironically enough

I can't really describe what she looked like in my head (generic green-eyed person with red hair??) but I do have to say I probably had more imagination than the artists and toy makers who put her in the same catsuit over, and over, and over again.

I kind of picture her looking like a younger Julianne Moore myself.

The best one is the Mara with the desert headscarf and goggles with a sleeveless black leather cat suit. Lol I can't think of anything more impractical for a desert

Mara at this time would be an agent of the Empire not an anti-hero (that comes after RTJ) so it would work well enough if they did include her. As for evil Buffy she was so useless she was more like a female Dick Darstadly than a Mara anyway

The Agent of the Empire comics managed to make Jahan more "anti-hero" than "Villain protagonist".

Being an agent of the empire and being an anti-hero aren't necessarily mutually exclusive.

True but at this point in time as an Agent for the most evil man in the galaxy it's unlikely she would be an anti-hero despite the whole she only went after bad people argument.

Rebels is already trying to dilute Kallus's evil - portraying him as an honorable warrior (despite his taunting of Zeb in Droids in Distress about his authorising the use of disruptors on the Lasat population).

If they can do this with someone as seemingly-monstrous as Kallus was in those early episodes - I could see them taking the same kind of approach with a "brought-in Mara" that Zahn did in Choices of One.

For years I played Mysteries of the Sith without knowing she was a book character. I have two versions of her floating in my mind now, the MOTS/pirate version that would fit right in with Mazzic's or Talon's bands, and the haughty Emperor's Hand version in everything else. Former is way cooler.

Ahhhh the memories of running around random city planets under a starry sky with giant Chinese firecrackers to toss at unsuspecting Grans... I dig out this game and DF2 every now an again because seriously, these were classics. Story was decent, characters were fun, settings were awesome.

I do like the VOTF cover. She looked more "fun" there, because she could actually be funny in MOTS. But Emperors-Hand-Mara was always so... straight-laced. Like the type that deserved the Mary Sue nickname because she couldn't do any wrong.

Hah, I'm just reading her comic and that is certainly how that artist pictured her.

Well, at least, she had a vast array of costumes in Mara Jade: By the Emperor's Hand.
