Damn, the poster for "Rogue One" really looks good... Shows how massively menacing the first Death Star really is - and gives me a better reason to get that DS trinket box from Royal Selangor! Sent from MillenniumFalcon AI using Tapatalk
This is a good question. Does anyone know what the production timeline or schedule looks like for the film? When did reshoots actually begin? Are they still on-going? Obviously the main cast is in London for SW Celebration, but aside from that, what are their current whereabouts? Do they have other films being shot now? etc.
Trailer followed by a guy talking about it. Interesting that Forest Whittaker's character is confirmed to be a character in the The Clone Wars.
Yep. It's intimidation at its finest. People of the planet would be screaming and running around. Death imminent...in such an otherwise beautiful idyllic setting. Also, the great thing about that poster is the less is more approach. Hated the TFA poster, just slapping every imaginable character into a frame. Whereas this paints a picture and tells a story.
As long as that dish is pointing somewhere else... When the Death Star starts to turn and point towards you, and from that distance it would look like a giant eye looking directly at you personally, then you start to worry.
Wow, the new AT-ACT Cargo Walker looks really impressive... It's definitely a bit too early now but looking for either Hot Wheels or Hasbro to release a model, hopefully in November... And that's something I've got to get to my currently-dormant SW spacecraft collection (currently stuck at 23, since I've got almost everything from TFA)!
Hmmm, me thinks it could be BOTH Stormtroopers and weaponry, as well as goodness-knows-what cargo used by the Empire to destroy their opponents... We still remember how menacing the new AT-AT is like during that short scene in the R1 teaser, as they fired their laser beams at our heroes along the beach, while they were running towards the tall satellite tower in the distance!
Andor is still wearing his Imperial Officer trousers once they flee through the facility on Scarif (AKA Canary Wharf) which is when Jyn has the plans - and when they run out onto the beach to face the AT-ATs. I think they're trying to get off-world themselves or making a last stand while they await extraction. I also think the Jeddha stuff happens once Jyn is recruited. So at first, it's just Jyn, Andor and K2 (with possibly Bodhi flying them in) to Jeddha - and I would guess they're looking for someone to get them into Scarif somehow (or at least help find it). Sounds like they find/ hook up with Chirrut and Baze on Jeddha.
Stuff for the Death Star. We know that Scarif is being used for resources for the project and it looks like it is taken by AT-ACT to the huge shuttles and then up to the Death Star. This pillaging also seems to be happening on Jedha as well.
I don't think the Cargo is relevant. That will be background stuff imo and not something the Rebels are after. The Rebels are there for the plans, which they have when they flee from the facility bunker onto the beaches. That could even be their extraction ship that is destroyed in the first teaser and the BTS reel. The A
There seems to be an Imperial presence on Jedha but it looks like people can come and go freely. It would make sense that Jyn and Cassian reach the planet via a normal (non Rebel) transport. Scarif is a different proposition however and the Rebel Assault looks to be a cover to get the R1 team off the planet. I would agree that that is their U-Wing that gets taken out and that's perhaps when they head for the Communications Tower as Plan B.
For me I'm now a little worried about this film after I was excited for it..... It just seems like their hiding the movie, which then you got to ask why, and the only answer to that is that its not working very well.... this is not a movie to be secretive about, they should of been showing it off yesterday for the whole world, with a proper trailer and lots of interesting info at the panel, and yet none of that happened.... Anyway the alien and costume designs look excellent for this film....
I think it is. It's been referred to far too much to not have some significance. I think they're going to be following the supply line. My guess. Cassian and K2 are on Jedah tracking the tank we see with the crates from the trailer. Jyn, under the tutelage of Saw is just planning on blowing it up (which happens). The two realize they're on the same side in the end and that Jyn might have another way of finding what they need.
That new laughing creature from Sizzle Reel was walking on stage during today's panel. EPIC!!! https://instagram.com/p/BH6-gIuDlSm/
Bistan. Here is the thread for him http://boards.theforce.net/threads/official-info-bistan-in-rogue-one.50040709/
This. Based on the clip they showed, and other official statements, I think it's essentially confirmed that Jyn, Cassian and K2 go to Jeddha on a mission, and recruit Bodhi, Chirrut and Baze while there. The other aliens, like Bistan and Pad (and hopefully my avatar), are simply part of the Rebellion forces, and will feature as minor characters.
That sounds right JabbatheHumanBeing. I also wonder if Jeddha is where all the bounty Hunter cameos (and the Solo cameo) take place. If that is Ponda Baba and Dr. Evazan in the BTS then perhaps there's a cantina type place they need to visit to meet with a contact - Saw?
Don't know whether to laugh or feel sad for people who honestly have negative feelings about a movie simply because a trailer was not released when popular opinion thought it would. Instead of a trailer we got a behind the scenes look at the making of the film with lots of new footage of what most people felt the movie was supposed to be like.
Based on the first short clip of Saw in the RO trailer, it looks like he's in a dry, rocky place. Which, I suspect, is Jedha. So yeah. I bet they meet him there.
