best friends! hi. how is your monday? my work day is almost over. it has been extra long like mondays usually are, but soon there will be beer. we've been having some summer thunderstorms here the past few days. my favorite.

 

Today was dentist day. I'm not happy,

A temporary bridge. I have to go back in one month for the final work.

 

ugh yeah, that sounds lousy. my dentist is pressuring me to get this one crown but it's really expensive and my insurance will only pay half so i'm putting it off as long as possible.

 

Still pretty solid, though there's so many interesting options on television to watch (baseball, The Simpsons, RNC coverage, stuff on the DVR from this afternoon) before I head to work, I'm not sure which to choose.


Also very happy that The Howard Stern Show is back live this week... always makes the last half of my M-W shifts that much better.

 

Hello from NZ, good people.

Today I took my six week old daughter for her first round of vaccinations. More traumatic for my wife and me than for her I think!

 

I'm glad today is over, besties. Work was hectic because of things and a big beer delivery and then my softball team got manhandled by this team that I hate. But then we went for margaritas and had fun together afterwards, so that was a blasty blast. But still. So crabby. And it's SO HOT HERE.

 

I went a couple weeks ago and learned that I have "incipient decay," in a tooth, possibly the first time I've encountered "incipient" in everyday usage. Not far enough gone to call it a cavity, and it could be stopped or reversed. We'll see in three months. Bummer about what you had to have done.

I haven't been to a dentist since 2011 (and that went better than expected, but still).

 

Losing to a team you hate and going to the dentist both abhorrent experiences. Intoxicants definitely good for dealing with either!

I've done minigolf at Pier 25, and it really is a breathtaking location. Unfortunately, the Chicago lakefront is really starved for decent minigolf.

City Minigolf has a location just as beautiful, but the golf itself is really substandard:



It's a portable, seasonal setup, and I would feel humiliated to have that blogger review it.

Sitting here with the windows open and there is what I assume to be a bird making amazing Predator imitations. Almost creepy, lol.

 

At least it's not actually creepy, because bird noises can often be so pleasant to hear.



The co-worker's BBQ (beef kabobs) were so good.
