Glad you liked it. I was still laughing over The Farm and pockets' FAQ lines, ten hours later.

I feel the need to explain the "Skyeward" reference from my earlier post. I looked up "SHIELD terminology" in good faith, and it was the Wiki that came up that described "0-8-4" for an unknown object; and then listed about nine character shipping terms for what I assume was Agents of Shield.

Skyeward would indeed be a shipping name for Agents of SHIELD, along with Philendra, FitzSimmons (which named itself), and others. I used to have an encyclopedia document for SHIELD terms somewhere when I actually RP'd Alastor as a full blow agent inside SHIELD I'll see if i can find it.

greyjedi125 's liaison npc is supposed to have taught my pair some terms on the car ride to the Triskelion, so I would like to see a small pool of potential terms.

 

It seems the resource blog I used to use (which was maintained by someone else) is no longer there, and the files I had were sort of lost when my first attempt to use Windows 10 happened. That said, there are now 18 "Alastor's Rules of Combat" (in no particular order)

1. Ammo is not meant to be conserved.
2. Close air support covereth a multitude of sins.
3. There is no such thing as a warning shot.
4. There is no such things as ‘overkill’ only “Open Fire” and “I need to reload”.
5. If at first you don’t succeed, pull back and regroup.
6. Always act as though your intel is flawed.
7. That which does not kill you has made a tactical error.
8. A good leader aims for the hearts and minds of his people. A good sniper does too.
9. When in doubt; double tap
10. When in excessive doubt; use high explosives.
11. If at first you don’t succeed, try a bigger caliber.
12. No plan survives initial contact, prepare accordingly.
13. Always bring grenades
14. Do unto others as they are likely to try to do unto you
15. Kill, there is no ‘or be killed’
16. Anything’s a weapon if you try hard enough.
17. Always tie up loose ends, or they may become the noose around your neck.
18. Guards never look up.

Me being up for 'most long winded roleplayer' amuses me, cause Grey didn't nominate me for it, Sinre did, but it was Grey who got a 26 page long short story in addition to my 4 page long un-turncated Character Sheet XD

on top of about five other character sheets for side characters, a CS for Hughes, a dossier on Bad Break, and three documents related to nomenclature and technology used by DEM and a google map of their asset locations.

 

No such thing as 'long-winded' as far as quality story telling is concerned.

Welcome to the RPF, hopefully there is something that interest you in our RP community.

 

I may be a little familiar with'em, as DEM Corps was something I created sometime ago on another forum. I tend to write the parts that involve Josie Acken, who has currently shown up once. Also co-wrote a part with him for the Force Awakens thread that involved Vincent Mikaru and Tank, his military advisor.

I've been lurking a little while now, and will probably remain so unless Alastor needs Josie or other members of DEM Corps to make an appearance.

Admittedly, I lurk cause I just haven't the time available at the moment for anything else...and I'm waiting on others to do their parts to the 'novel' we've been writing. Or some of the other threads we've been working on. *pokes Alastor*
