Rogue One [Official Info] Rogue One: A Star Wars Story - December 16, 2016

I really like the fact that we are seeing a Star Destroyer in atmosphere. The imagery of this picture is fantastic, the sheer size, might and power of the Empire hovering over what looks almost like a religious ancient city.

 

Almost? One would say that the City is there for that and that alone.


At one time a world important to the Jedi Order, Jedha serves as a holy site for pilgrims from across the galaxy who seek spiritual guidance.

 

There's some subliminal messaging in that poster.

I think The Clone Wars and Rebels showed SD's in atmosphere many times.

 

Animated is not quite the same..

 

OMG, so big! Anyway, interesting for two things;

1, The burning 'frame' on the left seems to be the same thing that Chirrut stands near in one of the videos.

2, The picture is actually technically wrong....it's missing something BIG.

I just realized one thing, when I bought the four main spacecraft models of Rogue One just now... If you guys noticed, the bad guys have the coolest machinery and technology, whilst our heroes make do with the presence of their iconic characters instead!

Out of the four spacecraft I now have, three belong to the Empire (TIE Striker, Krennic's Shuttle, SW-0608) and only one miserly U-Wing is property of the Rebels... And yet we know more of the good guy characters (Jyn, Cassian, Baze, Chirrut, Saw, K-2SO, and that "raccoon" fellow), with only Krennic and Vader the two familiar villains!

It would be kind of a neat tie in to end Rogue One with the chase over Tatooine. They could use the footage:

And we still haven't seen the Imperial Troop Transport properly yet. However, the Imperial vehicles are all new because they fit a specific purpose - Krennic needs a hero vehicle to go along with his hero troopers, the Cargo shuttle is required for the construction of the Death Star and the TIE Strikers show that Scarif is one of those planets that has such a huge Imperial presence that full time atmospheric defence is required. The U-Wing is another new vehicle that fits a specific purpose that we have not seen in the OT on the Rebel side - Troop transport.

 

The funniest part is how it has over 2 million views. Not your typical fake trailer troll.

I have a pre order for the book Catalyst and The Rogue One novel from Amazon!

 

Is it just my eyes but the [Catalyst and the rogue one novel from amazon] is In a lighter color ??
Might just be my eyes from looking at computer screen..
But its starting got bug me..lol

 

I found it interesting the amount of scenes we haven't seen before regardless of it being fan made.
