Solo Solo: A Star Wars Story Trailer #2

This is the first time I've seen a trailer with no expectation and not been pleasantly surprised. Until Chewie showed up I forgot this was supposed to be a Star Wars trailer; it looks like some other weird Sci-fi movie, or a Fan Film. Maybe it's just because I'm not a Han fangirl...maybe I'm just too attached to Harrison. This gives me Guardians of the Galaxy vibes (AKA, a super ).

To be fair, I'll withhold a final judgement until after tomorrow, but at this point I don't think I'm seeing this one in theaters.

 

It's nice to see world building! You simply cannot beat the imperial period for coolness!

I like the trailer.. George Lucas style weirdness... I'm hyped

 

Love it. I really feel like this will be another R1. All the "Why are they even making this?" talk hopefully won't even be a thing once we've seen the film.

 

I'm surprised by how moody this looks. Of course, it takes place during the height of Imperial rule, so I understand why things look drab, but it seems very similar to the aesthetic of Rogue One. I thought we'd get something lighter on its feet.

Love those pristine Falcon interiors though.

 

I can’t lie this trailer blew away my low expectations. Can’t wait for tomorrow to see the full trailer.

I approve it without a doubt I will see it in the cinema
I hope that Boba and Kenobi are the following spin off

 

Sorry, but the Trailer did not cheer me up.

 

I loved the teaser and I anticipate the dialogue about being a pilot for the empire is typical nowadays of Disney misleading us. Probably has nothing to do with Solo.

 

I definitely like what I've seen so far. Looking forward to the trailer tomorrow morning. I'm surprised that the trailer tomorrow is said to be a teaser trailer. Figured they would go straight to a full length trailer...

 

I was surprised at how beautifully shot this looked.

 

Looks okay.

 

Very excited to see Han as Imperial, especially since it was in his EU storyline. It can really add something to his character development. (Not that he needed any more.)

But the weird music and font bugs me for some reason. Nothing I can't get passed, but it took me out of the Star Wars experience. Same with the opening shot. I first thought that wasn't in the movie, but was instead an outsider talking about the making of the movie. Probably just because it's the Superbowl.

Still, really looking forward to the movie and trailer tomorrow.

Agreed. The visuals hook me in straight away.

 

i'd say i'm cautiously optimistic about this movie. Although i would have liked to see Emilia Clarke playing some type of alien. Maybe it was due to that fake fan made poster that had her as a Twi'lek but i think it would have been more interesting seeing something other then just a human.

 

Meh. I swear the opening shot and the whole "What's Your Name?" Shtick felt like the whole Yavin IV hangar scene with Jyn being questioned in RO trailer.

Looks fine for what it is tho.

 

yes, same for me and with all these dark pictures it seems the same depressive style like the last 2 movies.

 

I want to say 9am? But i'm not sure, its supposed to be during one of the Morning shows.
