Well we can tell by the trailer that the Mandalorians help the Rebels later in the season.

Heh. Looks like I was 100% correct about basically everything I said on this board about Mandos, melee combat, and the reason for arming their gauntlets, Rau and the Protectors being the Royal Guard....all of it, really. Imagine that.

Yes, this is an egostroke, but come on, I absolutely NAILED all of it. Let me enjoy it.

Ya know Sabine's mother Ursa Wren was one of those who just would not ADMIT that they were just being cowards too about the Empire:rolleyes:

I gave Son of Dathomir another read-through recently. I like that they included a few Clan Wren Supercommandos that didn't go full-Maul with their armor.

Almost definitely. The Protectors associated Clan Wren with Death Watch in Season 2. We didn't know any distinguishing features of the Mandalorian clans until Rebels, but Clan Wren's seems to be their yellow armor

that being said earlier, i don't think it's a coincidence Sabine added a significant amount of Yellow to her armor after she mended her relationship with her family. She's used it before, just not so prominently. It probably was her way of accepting their recompense.

More likely modeled on Savage Opress whom fell in battle fighting for Mandalore and their Supreme Leader's brother, and not a Wren.

That was probably the intent at the time, but I dont think its wrong to assume Rebels retconned it. I'm guessing they also retconned Rook Kast into being from Clan Rook, who share her purple coloration have a similar helmet motif.

Well of course they all share the same concept artist(s) behind the scenes, so it could some general cultural and military aesthetic in-universe too.

Rook kast does not seem be a relation to the Wren's though and her armor is unique to her as well as Gar Saxon's. Some of Maul's soldiers were also sporting Clone trooper-like armor which Filoni's team allocated to the Imperialized Mandalorian Stormtroopers under Saxon.

Rook Kast's commitment and loyalty to Maul and their cause also seemed a lot stronger than Saxon's, and she remained by his side in that battle. The Wrens are far too sentimental and switch-hitter in both commitments and loyalties.
