    You're right, it doesn't mater & isn't a plot-hole. I didn't bring it up btw.
They're not very fast while they're stationary & firing on the Jedi. Do their shields block the Force?
No, I'm not saying that. There's variety in droids, but all should be susceptible to a good Force push.
They can throw enemy droids around. Unless it's more entertaining that they don't.

Something I've noticed about TPM - why does the Trade Federation leave the N-1 starfighters intact and functional in the Theed Hangar? They could have destroyed the fighters or at least pulled some vital components from the fighters, to stop them from being captured and used by the Naboo resistance.

However, the fighters are left in full working order with a full payload of weapons, presenting a potential threat to the occupation forces.

For one, they're not in power for that long, they only have around a day or two in power based on the passage of time we can see in the film. Secondly, they're not expecting an attack to come from within Theed Palace, they don't know about the secret Waterfall entrance so they believe their forward guards will hold the palace. They have no reason to expect those captured ships to be suddenly stolen from within their own stronghold.

Based on what we see in the film, they haven't been in power for even a full day. It could have been only a few hours, even.

Well, we see night fall on Naboo in the scene between the Tatooine departure and Coruscant arrival, when they send Sio Bibble away. Then it's day again the next time we see Naboo it's daytime again, I think that's as far as we get in terms of Naboo's time-scale (the other planets seem to have their own day-night schedules).

Oh, right, my bad. I was thinking about when they were first leaving Naboo for some reason.

There's no reason to disable the N-1 Fighters since the palace is secure, as is the rest of Theed and when the Jedi take off with all the pilots in the hangar, along with the Queen and her entourage, there's no worry.

Yes. The Neimoidians perhaps should have taken more precautions in the event things went sideways, but they're not the first villains to be too short-sighted and hubristic to account for the possibility that everything may not go exactly according to their plans.

  10. Obi Wan could have used Force Speed to help Qui Gon kill Maul but he did not
And at the beginning of the movie both used this power

But out of nowhere Obi Wan forgets this technique when he is waiting for the portals to open

He was too drained from fighting to use it. Same reason Force users aren't constantly flinging each other around with the Force. (Watch when Obi-Wan throws Grievous against the wall in Episode III; it clearly takes a lot of effort on his part.)

    Alternatively:

Funny how this discussion keeps happening when there are no plot holes or inconsistencies in the PT.

In the ST on the other hand...

This isn't the ST board, EJC. There's plenty of critique of that trilogy there.
