At the end when Rey goes to confront palpatine, she brings two blue lightsabers. Who's are they? I thought Leia gave her Luke's (Green) and Luke gave her Leia's (Blue). Why does she have 2 blue lightsabers and not 1 blue/1 green?

I'm not sure if I'm missing something, I can't seem to find this info anywhere (all google searches just reference Rey's new lightsaber).

    Can anyone help clarify??

Leia gave her Anakin’s blue lightsaber. Luke’s green is sadly shelved for most of this trilogy other than in flashbacks.

Leia gave Rey Luke & Anakin’s repaired blue lightsaber while Luke gave Rey Leia’s old blue saber.

Luke’s green one is still MIA.

So the green lightsaber is the one Luke dropped when his arm got chopped off. Where did his blue one come from? How did Leia get it? Sorry....if these are obvious questions...but keeping up with the Skywalkers can be confusing...

Luke realised that he would never again do anything as cool as chop Darth Vader’s hand off with it, so he put down slowly with a whispered “Whoa”

The blue one is Anakin’s that Luke inherited but eventually lost once Vader cut his hand off. The lightsaber fell down the shaft and into Maz’s hands through means unknown (- story for another time that has yet to be told). The saber was eventually given the Rey and it was destroyed in the throne room fight during TLJ. Rey used force healing to fix the saber or something to make it good as new and Leia has it because Rey didn’t feel worthy of it (I think).

The Green saber is the one Luke built and used in ROTJ. It’s just out there somewhere.

No, the blue lightsaber is the one that was thrown into oblivion below Cloud City, when Vader cut Luke's arm off inTESB. And that lightsaber, which belonged to Anakin, was given to Luke by Obi-Wan in ANH, since he had been keeping it for all these years after he picked it up on Mustafar in ROTS.

The green lightsaber is actually Luke's lightsaber, the one he built for himself at some point prior to ROTJ. It has not been seen since ROTJ, and it's pretty lame if you ask me. I loved how he looked like with the green lightsaber a lot more. Plus, it symbolized his progress as a Jedi.

Very odd that Luke didn’t use the green one in TLJ. I wonder what the reasoning was? Maybe the amount of red colouring used in the scenes. You know what they say “Red and green is seldom seen...etc” Opposite sides of the colour wheel, so clash.

Thanks, I had tried to forget about those.... Well, it still doesn't mean he took it with him on the island though.
He could have thrown it behind his back into the fire after the academy got burnt down.

Would be cool if Finn found it there, and kept it for himself. Idk why, but I can picture Finn with a green saber.

Man, I'm having serious deja vu. Wasn't there a thread eerily similar to this with the same posts from the same people in late 2017/early 2018?

The TLJ novelization has a part with the Caretakers taking "his weapon" to a vault where other Jedi artifacts are kept.

It was really neat to see Luke with his green saber during the flashback with him and Leia dueling. It’s a short scene but really neat.

I also think it’s a shame we didn’t get to see Rey use her yellow staff saber.

I always thought that the green lightsaber was the most important since it symbolized Luke’s progress, but I guess somebody at Disney didn’t like it. They’ve even changed Ahsoka’s in the new clone wars.

It’s hardly my biggest gripe, but it’s a bit weird that such a nitpicking issue is being “fixed” in the new canon. I honestly didn’t even know anyone cared.

It's not a staff saber. It's a very short hilt, as if she'd wield it one-handed only. She did use part of her staff to make it, but it's fairly certain it's a single blade.

I assumed the green one was under water somewhere just off the coast of Luke's island. Maybe next to his X-wing.

Hey, I just had a thought, maybe when Rey gets around to cleaning out the cockpit of Red 5, she'll find the green saber in there.
