[April Fools Game]Two Truths and a Lie!

Welcome to Two Truths and a Lie!

This April Fools, you’re going to learn some crazy facts about your mods! But we also want to learn some zany facts about our users!

For those unfamiliar with the game:
Two Truths and a Lie is a game where a person states 2 facts about themselves and a lie, in a random order, then others have to figure out the lie.

How this will work on the boards:
User 1 will post two truths and a lie about themselves. User 2 will then guess which is a lie AND ALSO post two truths and a lie about themselves. User 3 will then guess which of User 2’s statements is a lie, then post their own two truths/one lie. This will continue on. User 1 then can come back at anytime to confirm/reveal the truths and lie, but can not guess or post another two truths and a lie in that post. Though user 1 can guess on another user’s truths/lies and post more of their own further on in the day.

1. Keep it ToS friendly
2. Don’t hog or spam the thread. You will be called out publicly if you do (as a rule of thumb, try to let 5 other people post before you post again).

This thread will be open until late April 2nd.

I am going to guess that #1 is the lie. Was I right?

Ok here goes:
1. My hometown is famous for its vampires.
2. My grandmother served in the women’s branch of the RAF in WWII.
3. My high school English teacher is now a best-selling author.

For @divapilot I am going to guess that #1 is the lie.

Mine are:
1. My favorite flavor of pie is apple.
2. I have a pet ferret.
3. My first posted fanfiction was for the Monday Mush Mania challenge.

Mine are
1. Been 20 years a firefighter
2. First OC was a healer
3. I am living alone

 

For @earlybird-obi-wan I´m going to guess 3 is a lie.
Mine are
1. I´ve assissted two german stage magicians in their performances before
2. My first main fanfiction character was a cannibal
3. I own a horse and am an passionate rider in my free time

 

Yup, #2 for me was the lie. I love apple pie and my first fanfiction was "Two Dances Across Time"

 

Yeah 3 is not true, kinda dream of owning a horse one day and getting into that but not at the moment.

My truths and a lie:

1. I speak fluent French.
2. I met my husband at a speed dating event.
3. I sold fan art to one of the voice actors from Resistance.

 

@WarmNyota_SweetAyesha nope, #2 was the lie. I’m not even of British descent.
As for #1, yup, my town had vampires.

And for #3, my high school English teacher was Wally Lamb (still friends). One of his novels is coming to HBO next month as a series.

@Togruta you’re right; my French is mediocre at best. I can order off a menu without embarrassing myself, but that’s about it.
As for 2–Yep, we met at an 8 Minute Dating event. That my mother sent me to. For my birthday. And 3– Bobby Moynihan (voice of Orka on Resistance, also from SNL) saw my Resistance emoji stickers on Instagram and asked how he could get a set!

 

Of course you may! And nope, sorry. I did grow up in a small town in West Virginia.

The lie is number 3. I was interested in anatomy and medicine since around 8th grade and focused on that, but I was holding out hope to be a professional dancer until I was about 16-ish when I realized I was never going to be tall enough to be a Rockette and that was the only kind of dance I thought I could make it in.
