I mean I believe Kessel Run Transmissions are hearing things that are highly possible of happening so I choose to believe them in this case compared to other sites.

There’s no way Emilia Clark won’t return. Hopefully this gets moving soon.

Emilia Clarke between this and Game of Thrones will have all evil queen roles reserved for her in the foreseeable future.

Hopefully Ray Park's recent acts won't affect the rumored shows too much. Just recast him.

I had no idea what you were talking about until I googled Ray Park just now. Anyway, Ray Park's wife is preparing a statement and what I've read about her statements seem to indicate he was hacked, but this also seemingly contradicts one of her previous statements? So confused, but right now this situation is ongoing.

Anyway, warning for anyone curious but the Ray Park news isn't safe for kids, regardless of whether he's at fault or a victim of hacking.

Guys, there is no way to talk about the Ray Park mess here - there just isn't.

Crimson Dawn is by far the most interesting of all the show options I’m hearing right now.

Future of SW really is on Disney Plus. I'm cool with that.

With every new rumour surrounding Solo continuations that old 'star wars fatigue' statement Iger made after the original release of Solo begins to sound more and more like total BS.

    Obligatory note that...

    1. I am excited by this.
    2. Until something official is out, the Ray Park bonanza (true or not), is off-limits for discussion.

Solo 2 is one of my dream projects I could actually see happening. Let's have Han go to Tatooine and meet (a puppet, not CGI) Jabba. Hell, throw in Boba Fett as well. As fanservice goes it makes a darn sight more sense than Maul.

While we're at it, let's have that young Lando spin-off as well. Give me the Battle of Taanab!

It's like they took all their ideas for a Solo cinematic universe they were working on and pretty much moved them over to Disney + probably a smart move.

Well, CGI has come a long way even after the prequels. George wanted a CGI Tarkin in 2005 but it wasn't feasible until 2016. A CGI Jabba would be a lot more mobile and can jump on people to kill them (yeah EU Jabba did this in the comics I believe).

But before all that if they are going to have more Solo, we need works where Han and Lando are actual genuine friends. That was one of the worst things about Solo (aside from throwing out the old story of Han saving Chewie out of compassion into a self-preservation thing).

Comic Jabba had three major melee tricks -

I remember there was some book that explained the difference between ANH Jabba and ROTJ Jabba by explaining that in the interim, he had really let himself go and just gained a ton of weight. Prequel Jabba also has a relatively athletic build compared to ROTJ Jabba.

Even a Hutt much bigger and fatter than Jabba (his uncle/aunt Jiliac) can be a frightening melee foe - as showcased in Rebel Dawn when Jiliac and Durga battle.

You know what, let's just forget Solo and have a Jabba movie or show where he does all these things to his enemies.

And it still looked bad in 2016. I think RotJ is the best looking Jabba. That's all there is to it. If they can go back to a puppet Yoda they can go back to a puppet Jabba

I don't need a character to be a super-athletic martial arts badass in order to find them interesting. Not every character needs to be twirling all over the place like it's 1999. Jabba is cool because of his attitude, presence, look and intelligence. He's Don Corleone in The Godfather. Marlon Brando didn't need to do somersaults to be compelling, and neither does Jabba.

I'm wondering if in general people who didn't know about Cushing's death and the CGI really noticed anything, because my relative didn't notice anything wrong at all watching Cushing's Rogue One scenes.

My mom thought it was the actual actor before I said anything

Honestly the whole CGI vs Pratical thing is just a weird nitpick people have in my opinion]

I think most audiences don't care

I think we should do CGI in cases like Tarkin in Rogue One.

*shrug* I hated it. And all those people who didn't notice probably wouldn't have noticed if the role was recast.

Point is, I think RotJ Jabba looks way better than any of the CGI versions. Anyone else is free to believe otherwise, but I strongly disagree.

problem is you, it be pretty hard to find someone to resemble Peter Cushing, so recast plus CGI.
