Welcome to the Din Djarin (commonly known by many as The Mandalorian) Fanclub. Here we can discuss and revel in our fandom of the savior of Star Wars.

Shame this club hasn't taken off much. Despite being overshadowed by Baby Yoda he really made the show great with his excellent character development throughout the season. Probably my favorite Disney Star Wars character outside of maybe Jyn Erso.

I agree. I hadn't loved anything Disney put out since Rogue One, but Mando became one of my favorite characters in the entire franchise over the course of just a few episodes. I'm looking forward to seeing where they take his story.

 

Does anybody he know where modeled his walk from? He has a very distinct gait.

 

It's strange that this fan-club is so empty. Mando is a very good character. I liked him from the very first episode, and still do. I was very touched by his kindness. At the same time, he is strong and brave. So I boldly sign up for this fan club and will not leave it!

 

I'd imagine it's based on having to walk in that costume lol

 

I've heard there was a lot of collaboration going on to get the character to move a certain way. Given that the stuntman who does a rather large portion of the costumed portrayal is John Wayne's grandson I'd guess "the Duke" provided some inspiration. Indeed this article gives a bit of insight.

 

Din Djarin represents in a similar way to Anakin and Luke what Star Wars truly is about to me personally, at least in terms of morals: redemption and hope. This is also all expressed by a character who you barely even see their face.

This is actually my favorite piece of Mandalorian art. Something about characters riding on giant lizards always felt so Star Wars to me.

The main reason why I signed up for Disney+, The Mandalorian lived up to the hype and then some. It had good moments of action and effects but had more of what I consider to be essential and what seems to be a lost art in shows and movies today; quality acting and quality writing. The story and character development was easy to follow. Even those who are not big Star Wars fans who watched the show said they understood it. It was not farfetched from the rest of the Star Wars canon, and it did not feel like a glorified fanfiction at all. Not to mention the Mandalorian has an awesome outfit.

Has anyone heard when Season 2 will be available?

 

I heard this October, but I don't know if there is a more firm date than that.

 

Well heck, I knew his walk reminded me of somebody.

And honestly, if there's a better way to have a show scream "Space Western" than having the main character walk like John Wayne, I don't know what it is.

 

When's the season 2 trailer gonna drop? I miss mando

 

Since Celebration was supposed to be happening now, I'd assume it would have dropped for that. However, if the pandemic caused production delays then the trailer might be delayed.

 

Yeah,, I heard there was hardly any interruption because of covid but then who knows
