ST Kylo Ren/Adam Driver Discussion Thread

I’m now starting to suspect that everyone in the ST is based on Frankenstein’s creature. Hell, Kylo even has the hair for it.

We don't see Rey's mom being killed. 'He[Palpatine]gave the order', says Kylo. But maybe she was left alive - it was not for Ochi to kill. Maybe, in chronological order:

There's someone behind adult Rey in the vision, in the place and time the clan leader had just been killed. Someone wearing a cape, or that's what it looks like.

'No!' is heard behind her, and then she turns and its her little self in Jakku.

Maybe Kylo had a moment of weakness, and Palpatine's plan was in this way disrupted. The sith dagger killing the father in TROS would have been a plan B. Did Kylo know Rey's mom - or, rather, did Ben?
Did Luke? Palpatine had Rey's parents 'taken', and we know Luke followed Ochi's ship half way across the galaxy.

 

I think, if they wanted to present him as a more conflicted character, they could've given him more of a conflicted backstory, with conflicted actions.

 

Well is the stormtroopers didn't wanna die they shouldn't have become stormtroopers. Morals dammit!

 

Seems Kylo's popularity has increased.

 

It's implied in the Kylo comic that it was Ben himself who came up with the name Kylo during his childhood. Child is father to the man I guess.

 

Naming your kid after a patricidal space fascist has got to be near the top of stupid things to force upon your children...

 

I would be more like "you named me after the hot topic crybaby? thanks for nothing, parental units."

I think Kylo is already the most popular character out of the NKOTB.
His merch sells the most? And has the coolest get up...

Dumb naming conventions aside, Kylo is the most popular character of the ST by far.

 

Snoke, Kylo, and Rey.

Over time I think that these three characters will be looked at as really well done additions--in light of the entire st feeling disconnected. Andy Serkis is a brilliant actor, and you can tell Adam Driver was all in and invested. Good chemistry with Ridley, too.

 

Snoke/Andy was so good in TLJ it's really a pity he had to go so early.

 

Snoke/Kylo/Rey were great together in the throne room scene and is the standouts off this trilogy.
