The Family Guy SW OT is hilarious.

 

I just watch the gags fast forward through everything else

 

Everything else? Family Guy is nothing but the gags. It's like The Simpsons on caffeine pills. I used to prefer the latter for its commitment to storytelling sincerity; and maybe that stands for the first 10 seasons or so. But there's something to be said about how Family Guy cuts the foreplay and goes straight for the jugular with its satire/absurdity. These days I'm more likely to laugh with one than the other. The Simpsons is basically cornflakes by this point. And I say that as a teen from the '90s whose sense of humor development was so centrally informed by that show.

 

Family Guy is often outrageous, and occasionally too political. But I have to say, that style of no-holds-barred comedy is refreshing nowadays. 10 or 15 years ago it was a crowded field, but the winds have changed since then.

 

And with Flanders Ladder I think after seeing how all the characters die and Lisa saying and I quote “Now I realize this has all been a waste of time”

I think that episode is my series final on the Simpsons

I gotta say it’s been a ride. I wish I got off it sooner, but man some of those episodes were amazing.

However with all this being said I now know when the Simpsons should have ended. It wasn’t season 10 or season 23. It was with the episode Barthood. I think that’s when the show should have ended. Season 27 episode 583. Although if you want the more sad ending Flanders Ladder also works

 

Its a shame when shows don’t end when they should have.

 

I mean the Simpsons is impressive well over 2 billion television views

 

Plus who knows how many times it has been viewed on Disney Plus

 

Are latest seasons very political correct?

 

Not anymore so then the old seasons except you know less transphobic jokes.

 

The Simpsons has never really been political incorrect. That’s more Family Guy’s thing

As things pertain to The Simpsons and Family Guy I've always preferred their counterpart shows Futurama and American Dad myself. Not to say that I don't like them as well of course. Lol

 

Futurama’s X Day (Christmas) alone is worth watching.
