The Mandalorian Luke Skywalker (Spoilers)

What do you mean kinda sorta? They are. Padme just didn’t know what she would name her children yet or maybe she did. I don’t know

 

The CGI was very good. Perhaps better than what they did in TROS. But how far can they really go with those effects, I ain't sure.

 

That through the DST story presented of Luke Skywalker that stretches back years before TFA he had become a coward, quitter and traitor to all that he once believed in. He fell into completely buying into his own greatness and legend. He became completely arrogant and lost touch to the point that he was mind-probing his nephew while he slept by creeping into his room at night. He never trained ONE person to carry on the Jedi. Leia quit on him and when he finally started a Jedi training temple his own nephew turned on him with the other students either all being killed or leaving with Kylo Ben.

Of course they can rewrite this if they want to but if it's still going to feed into the same events then that's putting a band-aid on a mortal wound.

 

I think no matter what a part of it will always be uncanny valley

 

There was a moment where Luke nodded and it looked abit like a bobble head. But the effects were impressive... But it does seem to be limited by what CGI can pull and I dunno whether that's a shame for what they could do with the character in future.

The effects make me intrigued for the Obi Wan show now.

 

Grogu could actually be Luke's first student...

I do go with the buying into his own greatness and legend part.

But the "coward, quitter and traitor to all that he once believed in" part, I just look at it as he tried to do something that he wasn't meant to do and the Force manifested it's will upon him with Kylo Ren.

He failed, but he made up for it in the end.

I agree, wait for the story to be told. We know whats coming but anything can happen between then. Grogu could be on a mission with his master Kyle Katarn

Luke would’ve beaten Ben Solo if he weren’t depressed on the island, and made it to Crait in time for an in person duel. I have no doubt. He’s like a light side version of Vader, because well, he’s his son. I had no idea this was going to happen. I agree - it’s a quality moment. One for the fans.
