Not by choice. The spoiler thing doesn't work on my computer. I asked the mods to censor it for me. I mean, don't get me wrong. I like the format of the website 92%. But I have to utilize Twitter to post photos (like of my censored vaccination record) and the spoiler key code that the dudes gave me two months ago WILL NOT work on an Apple computer or a Windows computer. I love the website. But I really need to talk with whoever the CEO of the Force.net is because I know for a fact that some of the Sith folks in other threads cannot upload photos or use the spoiler option. I'm not the only one who struggles to get it to work.

The spoiler tag definitely works on Mac, Windows and mobile web browsers, if you type the tags manually.

    Code:
    [spoiler]Your spoiler text here[/spoiler]
^ Those are brackets, not parenthesis, in case that is the issue.

You will probably want to avoid this thread until then, since spoiler tags will getting lifted in the coming days (two weeks since release).

Oh, wow, it's been almost two weeks - and I've only watched it 8 times so far.

    I know, it's inexcusable, I'm slacking off....

    Your spoiler text here

    test

    YThis is my attempt

Okay. Now it works. I'm going to have to copy that and paste it on Microsoft word and e-mail so I can understand it. I mean, I wrote a novel in thee volumes that I published on Amazon, but sometimes trying to understand certain of these functions is difficult for me. Tysm.

Well I got to see the film.

Of course there was really zero shock value regarding all of the villains in the picture; considering the trailers pretty much gave them away. It all came down to who was going to be there to support the current Spiderman with all of these bad guys on the scene at the same time? We figured the Avengers were Awol for the most part; except for Strange. We saw him in the trailers, so there was no shock value in that either. It was just a question of when the other Spidermen would show up. That part was inevitable. The movie itself certainly had its questionable motives. I'm sure the How it Should Have Ended people will have a field day with this one. So as I suggested earlier, it's all about Peter's hope that the public forgets who Spiderman is. Throw in the burden of not wanting Aunt May, his best friend and MJ to forget, and that's when things get complicated. And Strange sees this as a suitable reason to tempt fate and put everyone in the world in jeopardy (we'll get into what his rather questionable morals could mean for the next movie later). I for one was happy to see the Tobey Maguire Parker more than any other character in the film. His films were always my favorite Spiderman ones; at least the original. Hard to believe that his first film came out only a year after 9/11. I've seen all three of his Spiderman movies. I saw Garfield's first one, and I think I saw the second one too; just don't really remember either of them. It kind of kept me out of the dark with regards to the villains from his movies; along with what happened with Gwen Stacy in his sequel film. I'll probably rewatch them before I see No Way Home again on the small screen. One thing that I was kind of hoping was that there'd be a REAL shock value scene where a new portal opens and Garfield's Gwen Stacy shows up as Spider-Woman. Then I'd have stood at my seat and shouted. But I guess that's asking too much.

So now what? In the first of the two credits scenes, you see the dude from the Venom movies recognizing Spiderman and wanting to meet him. To date I haven't watched either of those movies, so I guess I'll have to catch up on that before the next Spiderman film. I've already seen the new Dr. Strange trailer, so the second credits scene didn't show anything new. After seeing this movie, I'm trying to understand why/how the Multiverse is apparently still left open. Maybe after Strange realized that as this spell worked, that he could somehow tempt fate and do something to bring back his dead girlfriend; sort of like what he does in the What if?.. episode. I'm sure we'll see more being revealed in upcoming trailers for the movie. I've already suggested the real reason why I'm interested in the possibilities of the Multiverse being introduced into the LA films.

    Wait…
Doctor Christine Palmer died in the movies (Not Blipped?!?)

Is that a throwaway line in this movie? Because if she did die I completely forgot about that.

Thanks, I know. :) This is why I asked in the movies specifically.

Unless something happens as a result of the NWH spells that
sets up something similar to or mirrors What If…?

The What If…? head writer did say they had to rewrite or drop any idea that was used or would be used in future movies. So perhaps, this Strange went down the Dormammu rabbit hole; he absorbes Dormammu and is devouring other magical beings from there. That would nod to WI…? but the end result could be completely different. Suddenly thinking what if this Strange is a herald or channel for Shuma Gorath?

Well, the multiverse still exists, so the potential for new crossovers and visitors endures. We see America Chavez in the Strange trailer, so you already have a multiversal traveler involved. And, as you say, if it is Strange Supreme (or some other variant of Strange) causing things to unravel, it's certainly not outside the realm of possibility that, well, "a wizard did it" ;).

And that's before you factor in whatever effects Loki/Sylvie, Kang and Wanda have contributed towards the fracturing of the multiverse.

Oh, and also MOM may still yet be set before NWH, as it was originally intended to be released beforehand. They tweaked some dialogue apparently in NWH so that it would work better with NWH coming out first following MOM's pandemic release delays.

But MCU stuff doesn't often come out in order, so just because they altered NWH to make more sense to people watching in release order, doesn't mean MOM won't ultimately remain set prior to it in chronological order (it would explain Strange's fear of how "frightening little" they know if he had previous experience with it, for instance).

Would probably also even mean that MOM is set before Far From Home, and lend more weight to/set up Mysterio's multiverse claims.

As Tina mentioned, she only died in the What If? episode. Strange Supreme's timeline split off earlier in Strange's life where he chose to be with Palmer instead of focusing on his career as intently as Strange Prime did. As a result, her death became Supreme's fixed point in time as it became the sole motivator capable of making him Sorcerer Supreme and, in turn, save our reality from Dormammu. Whereas Strange Prime's fixed point became his hands/injuries robbing him of his career to lead him down that same path. So, Palmer Prime is still alive.

One quick question about NWH; sort of like an Easter Egg/blink-if-you-miss it possible "cameo".

Who were those two people shoveling snow inside Strange's mansion; were they Shang-Chi and Katy?

hah, I wish that would have been kind of great.

"Welcome to the circus!" and then Wong has them shoveling snow.

but no, I'm pretty sure it was just two randos working for the Soccer Supreme, Wong.

There isn't an explicit moment in Amazing Spider-Man 2 when Harry reveals to Max that Peter Parker is Spider-Man, because Harry figures it out after Spider-Man zaps Electro into oblivion (Harry looks at Spider-Man, Harry looks at Gwen, "Peter!") which sort of conflicts with Electro knowing he's Spider-Man in No Way Home. But y'know, I guess Max could have figured it out, or Harry already was suspicious, told Max, and then when Harry arrives and sees Gwen and Spider-Man that confirms it. Best I got.

Yah pretty much the entire movie, he even attacks Peter at Midtown High. And, y'know, Sandman ain't dead and didn't "die fighting Spider-Man". Of course, they're all variants from across the multiverse anyway so that covers any big inconsistencies.

And since curing them made them variants I'm pretty sure the TVA just zapped them away when they arrived back and there's Loki season 2 for ya hahaha

Wasn't it only a guess, first by Octavius and then Peter and Strange that they died fighting Spider-Man? He may have known about Osborne, but he wouldn't know about Sandman and definitely not the others.

Electro states he was "downloading data" from the grid right before he got teleported to our universe. Presumably, he somehow found out that way. Or that was the implication, at least.

IMDB ruined Box Office Mojo. Can you fix that Spider-Man? TheNumbers is the better site now.

Looks like NWH will cooly top $600 million. Could it reach Black Panthers $700 million?

I think the easier explanation is that that was just a hypothesis based on some of them coincidentally sharing that trait, and not the defining reason they were drawn into this reality. It was a spell gone extremely wrong, it was likely much broader than that.
Peters 2 and 3 showing up proves that in fact, since neither of them dies fighting Spider-Man, and them knowing Peter is Spider-Man is different because they're Peter themselves.
