Well, i think it's more that they pulled Peter 2 & 3 from their realities from present day and that the spell just worked its way back in time to grab anyone else that knew. So, Sandman is present day and older (I forget if he found out in SM3 because I don't really want to rewatch it, but even if he didn't, he conceivably could have after the events of the film in the ensuing decades). Doc Ock, Goblin and Electro are pulled in right before their deaths (and, thus, had to have found out prior to that moment), as that would be the most recent.

Lizard is the only real anomaly, as he survived the film and technically should have come through either in human form, or in a post-ASM2, present-day, resumed-Lizard form, not a ASM1-concurrent Lizard form.

I would not be surprised if the next film is called Spider-Man: Close to Home. :p[face_dancing]

I have a question about the ending. If it requires a rewatch, that can wait for when it's available for the home screen.

The whole premise involves Peter asking Dr. Strange to help him have everyone forget that he's Spiderman, right? So why is it that after it's done, none of his friends know who he (Peter) is? That part I don't understand. Maybe it also requires a Homecoming rewatch, but were they only friends after he revealed to them that he's Spiderman? The only person of whom the complete memory wipe made sense was Happy; he knew him as Peter only after he became familiar with Spiderman.

For story continuity purposes, of course, this allows them
to completely start from scratch for the next movie

    Unless the next movie involves
the African American Spiderman that was briefly referenced in this one.

Home is fine in the title, but a new title word linking the theme of the next trilogy would also be good.

A Miles Morales movie is overdue, but it might be a completely separate thing

Miles Morales is too soon, I don't want Peter Parker to die yet.

I'm also going to guess this will be known as the "Home" trilogy, and it will be a different naming scheme for next trilogy.

Peter doesn’t have to die for Miles to come into the MCU.

No, but that’s the most meaningful origin for him.

Also, now that Peter has finally become Spider-Man, I’d like at least one movie where he is the sole focus. No other marvel hero, just him. Maybe have Miles just as a cameo who plays more of a role later.

or focus solely on Peter for an entire movie before bringing in Miles. So many of these failed franchises tried setting up way to much and died on the vine. Go for it all or wait to do it right.

Ranking the villains of the "Home" trilogy (not including the versions of the Shocker) and their biggest villainous moments:

    1. Green Goblin: (for obvious reasons)
killing Aunt May and turning the other villains against Peter.
    2. Mysterio: framing Spider-Man/Peter Parker for his death and exposing his secret identity to the world.
    3. Lizard:
making the fight at the apartment worse and endangering MJ and Ned.
    4. Electro:
Only "good" moment of his villainy was when he was willing to spare Peter's life in exchange for giving up the spell.
    5. Vulture: Despite trying to kill Peter and threatening, he was grateful enough for Peter saving his daughter's life that he was willing to give him a chance.
    6. Sandman:
Narratively, his turning against Peter and allying with the others doesn't make sense. But that's the worst he does, compared to the others.
    7. Doc Ock:
Biggest villainous moment when he first appears, but then is cured and helps the Spider-Men against Electro.

I don’t really agree. For example the Spider-Man video game series has Peter in more of a mentor role with Miles and it works great. Miles still gets a nice arc where he has to learn to become a superhero in his own right and step out of the shadow of Peter and Peter doesn’t get killed off. I think that would work in the MCU too since we’ve seen Peter be mentored by Iron Man and Happy and Doctor Strange so it’d interesting to see him grow into the mentor role now.

Agreed. Peter does not have to die for Miles to take up the mantle. And Peter as a mentor works. We got a hint of it with this film and now Peter can pass on what he learned to Miles- passing the torch as it were- which would be the best way to end another trilogy and then let Miles take it from there with the option of Peter appearing as a mentor should be be needed narratively.

No Peter will die. Miles will be in the worst trouble, so then Peter will appear in the form of a sentient spider web. Little do the villains know, he's actually astral projecting himself from his lab. However, this drains him, so he dies/disappears in the most anticlimactic way possible. Don't worry though, he'll appear in the next movie sporting a terrible wig.
