SWC22 Celebration Anaheim (2022) Appearances and Signings

So we got in line around 7 and waited.... When we finally got in for the picture it was only 10 minutes past our time though. At 11:50. We then went straight over to the auto line Ewan and that was not as prompt. We were in that line until 2:15. It was worth it to meet and get a picture with Ewan though.

Seeing all these pics and sigs are great. Seeing an inside joke in a picture was probably the highlight of my day on another part of the forum.

Those are the best photo ops. I have met many an actor accidentally that way. I usually don’t ask for a photo though

I didn’t ask, Jon randomly came out of nowhere to join my photo whilst I was having it taken at the entrance to the Mandalorian experience.

 

Ah that’s cool. I am honestly so afraid to ask for photos. As I am afraid they’ll find it annoying. I’ll only go for it if they bring it up first. Unless of course I am specifically in line to get a photo then they are getting paid to do it. Lol.

 

I’m the same way. I saw Ashley Eckstein outside the Convention Center on Wednesday but didn’t approach her as she was with a group of people and there was no way I would have intruded.

 

Most of the times I have talked to Star Wars related actors they were in the same elevator as me and so I started an awkward conversation in the elevator. It’s how I got to know Sam Witwer was super nice. Honestly it’s a great way to see if an actor is a nice person because there is no one around they need to please.

being in an elevator with anyone let alone Darth freaking maul. Is scary lol.

I believe a person by the name of Marc Truax in the main Star Wars Celebration group on Facebook made this short for the Boonta Eve Cantina event that was held on Wednesday. He made several of these for sale..

There is some great merch at any celebration

 

I picked up a pretty nice Boba Fett jacket at the last London one.

 

It was so nice that they didn't have the plexiglass. Ewan laughed when I mentioned to him that he didn't look old and beat up to me. I hope he understood the reference and probably not the best thing I could have said Temuera was nice also.

 

I didn’t go photos, but in looking through this thread and socials I was pleasantly surprised at how many guests were comfortable putting a hand on the shoulder and taking photos without masks.

 

I saw Ian was requiring you to stand six feet away (understandable with his age).

 

Did you get his autograph?

 

I’m reluctant to post my photo op with Ewan because after being lectured by the photo op people just to say Hi, don’t shake hands, etc. I walk up to Ewan and he says hello, asks me how I’m doing, and puts his arm around my shoulder. So I look like a huge star struck idiot with a big grin on my face lol

 

I also finally got Anthony Daniels autograph. I was always reluctant before because I’d heard mixed things about him and how he could be, for lack of a better word, prickly, and frankly, he was. But I don’t regret it simply for adding it to my collection.

Fortunately, my next autograph scheduled right after that was Giancarlo and he was just so genuinely nice. He just radiated positive energy.
