Take the ground out of the high ground, and Obi-wan's just...high.

Well, he did accept free spice from a random kid on the street, so he clearly has needs.

If they change the ending of this series, I hope it leads to a spinoff, not a second season. Personally, I don't like the alleged ending with Luke possibly seeing a lightsaber before ANH. But I could see the producers cutting her death-scene, so she can go on the run, a la Obsession-Ventress; and it would reference the opening-flashback. She and Maul can team-up to fight Vader. Also, Maul has to get his lightsaber-cane from someone.

Honestly instead of a second season, I’d rather have a live action Clone Wars miniseries

They would have to de-age Hayden and Ewan, because as much as they get credit for still looking good. They have noticeably aged. And i ain't even too sure about the tv show budget allowing them to do alot of de-aging

One of Obi-wan’s padawan report cards reads: “Shows significant potential to become a Jedi Master, particularly when in possession of the high ground, but consistently has difficulty when deprived of the high ground, such as during our weekly force-lift sessions.”

I've been loving the show so far. It has emotional resonance which is more importan than if there are 20 different types of spaceships in the spaceport with just the right variety between newer and more familiar older ships and how many alien species live on a specific street we happen to see, in my opinion anyway. (And there was plenty of alien diversity between the various locations IMO)

Rodians appear in TPM, AOTC, ROTS, ANH and ROTJ, Aqualish too, All GL movies except ESB has them so it's 5/6 of old saga. Niktos appear in TPM, AOTC, ROTS and ROTJ as well as Ishi Tib, Klatooinian, Weequay, Quarren and Twi'leks. Ithorians are also frequently used in PT since their appearance in ANH and Snivvians are common in OT even appearing briefly in the Cloud City. Zabraks appear in all PT movies and there are more than one member of that species. Mon Cala were made core member of Rebel Alliance. It seems to me that Lucas himself decided these are species that appear most regularly in the galaxy alongside humans ever since ROTJ which brought the most of these species. Also all these species are seen in multiple roles, they are jedi, smugglers, separatists, senators, mercenaries and some even rebels. TCW continued the tradition and these are all common species in the galaxy in all material original creator of Star Wars had something to do with. Trandoshans and Wookiees are also used pretty regularly being fan-favorites I think, Trandoshans at least are quite common. Gotals were used a lot in TCW, Rebels and Resistance. Siniteens and Devaronians are also quite common. EU used a lot of duros, I would like to see other duros than Cad Bane. They have been with us since cantina and since neimoidians are also related to them I think it would make sense they are common species too or were common once.

For some reason sequels didn't use any of these species. Well one Ithorian is seen in TROS though as an exception (and Ackbar appears along with his son). This was IMO weird decision, considering that 4/6 movies and most episodes of animated shows had same basic aliens constantly seen in the background. This may not seem like a big thing to ordinary viewer. But as Star Wars fan I was disappointed. Feels like they didn't care about the universe how it was created by Lucas. Some of that familiarity was not there. As contrast Mandalorian has most of these basic aliens constantly there. Makes it feel more like genuine Star Wars than sequels did. Book of Boba had this right too, despite being otherwise bit underwhelming. Jawas which were always seen on Tatooine were seen on other planets in Mandalorian too. They are really basic aliens too, always on Tatooine at least.

Some species did appear a lot in sequels making some species like Abednedo and Tarsunt new "basic aliens" though. This was good decision IMO. Seems that they do care about expanding the universe after all. Honestly many alien designs felt like they just did some weird stuff without really designing them at all. Sure this sort of thing happened before in OT when they ran out of time or costumes.

As for Obi-Wan they now have a lot of alien assets to use. But by far many of these basic aliens have not been seen. I want those rodians, nikto, quarren, ithorians, klatooinians and/or weequay. They are big part of Star Wars for me. New aliens are always welcome too. But to keep the continuity and familiar feel I want to see some of the same alien faces there to know I'm in Star Wars. Of course no need to have them all in every episode.

I hope we're not getting a season 2...but of course we are...(sigh)...do they really have to milk all classic characters ad nauseum? I suppose it's all about supply and demand, a lot of people want to see it, so Disney is gonna give 'em what they want. I still think you can be a hardcore SW fan and consider if it's a good thing in the end. You know, "too much of a good thing...". Because if our jedi friend is back for a second season he's not gonna hang around tatooine chasing small time bandits. And i dont know how many Vader encounters / legacy character rescue missions i can take before finding it a bit ridiculous. And dont get me starting on how the more Kenobi intergalactic adventures we get the more it undermines the OT...

I might sound a bit too harsh, but i'm just disappointed that it's always the business side of things that seems to win, vs proper creative storytelling. The Kenobi series first 3 episodes are ok, but in the end it's a bit sad that it feels like yet another SW series rather than something important and meaningful. Just my opinion.

Their original plan clearly called for it to be a one season series with a set ending. So I too hope that they don't decide to continue with a second season because of reasons like "we're having fun making this!" or "we thought of cool new things to show you!". Just stick to the plan.

I'm not against a 2nd season, potential is there.

this show is likely last time ever with Ewan as Kenobi.

    I do like idea
Twin Suns of Tatooine, Twin Skywalkers, Twin stories

    Season 1-Leia
    Season 2-Luke

So if Liam Neeson shows up as Qui-Gon, shouldn't he be the light show version from Clone Wars

As "my training wasn't complete", it would be canon correct but kind of awful though.

Unless even light-show Qui-Gon eventually went full Force Ghost

He eventually learned to become a full Force ghost so it is possible that we’ll see him appear fully and not just hear his voice. That’s my hope. [face_praying]

I feel that was an unnecessary insult there. It will always be the case that on first episode watch a person can enjoy a show or film, just because it is new and they love the characters from previous installments. But once they watch it again or think the actual story and plot over in their mind, realise that things aren't working for them and point out to others why. Those others will then maybe change their minds too. That is not twisting people's minds.

They have said this series was made to be its own thing. They didn't make this series with a season 2 in mind.

I ain't sure the show stood a chance when it comes to expectations.

The only real "man babies" are the people who feel the need to put other people down for disagreeing with them about something as harmless as a fictional story.

As for the idea of a season 2 being made... eh, it would take a lot to convince me that that would be a good idea. One problem I had with the old EU was that the main characters from the movies were going on way too many adventures, saving the galaxy from some new threat on practically a monthly basis. I'd rather the Disney cannon not make the mistake of milking the characters dry.

I think the show is awesome and I don't understand what some people expect - it's got Obi-wan doing exactly what you expect , Vader doing exactly what you expect , young Leia played very well but I'm very glad the majority love it.
