Could there be other horrors bigger and more dangerous than Mnggal Mnggal in the Unknown Regions?

Not talking about the Killiks, who aren't really dangerous nor species like the Vagaari, Grysk, Rakata, Sith remnants like the Sith Eternal or Yuuzhan Vong.

Entities who are really horrifying and could be apocalyptic dangers to all of the GFFA, if not kept in check by the Chiss Ascendancy and possibly all other factions together in the UR.

Crokes, maybe, whose homeworld was in the UR. They wouldn’t necessarily all be as evil as Rokur Gepta. But they are all illusion-spinning tiny snails, and apparently with nasty temperaments.

The Sorcerer’s of Tund are out there in the Unknowns. As are the Rhandites.

But the real apocalyptic monster is the Mother with the White Eyes. The Beloved Queen of the Stars. The Bringer of Chaos.

Between Abeloth’s eyes and the title, “Beloved Queen of the Stars”, I have hard time believing that Denning never read Cult or Supernatural Encounters.

Anyway, Typhojem would certainly be a horror if anyone ran into him.

The Beloved Queen is a sick sack of tentacles.

Denning wrote the sheer horror and power of Abeloth perfectly.

This is probably me being dumb and not on top of all the new Disney stuff, but weren't the Sorcerers of Tund just from Tund? At least in the old EU?

Well the Sorcerers yes, but one Croke species member of them, Rokur Gepta, apparently not.

Perhaps the Red Nebula that blocks the way to Exegol is in some sense either alive or undead and could, through Sith arts, wake up and wreak havoc across the galaxy, with its heart being the world itself, named after the demon star.

Think it would be great if a few of the other horrors would be really strange and eldritch. Maybe totally incomprehensible and alien. Totally outside the force and not connected to it in any way with powers on their own that are really mysterious and almost indescribable.

the greatest horrors are not megalomanic creatures but the opposite, the tiniest barely noticeable. Viruses, and worse.

Probably, yeah. To what scale is hard to say it is clear the Unknown Regions is filled with dangerous things, and for this reason was likely walled off by the Celestials for this purpose.

“Over the Spirits of Mortals spread the mantigrue wings of colossal monsters and all manner of murky things prey upon the heart and soul and body. Yet it may be in some far day, the shadows shall fade and their dark father be chained forever in his Abyss. Till then Mortals can but stand up stoutly to the monsters in his own heart and without, and with the aid of the Supreme Maker, he may yet triumph.”

In my head canon there’s a hidden planet and at the center of the hidden planet there’s a shrine filled with Star Wars memorabilia and all the movies/shows/books and an avatar of George Lucas waiting to be discovered by someone seeking the ultimate secret of reality

To be entirely fair, given the Chiss seem to have brought the entire region under their hegemony by the time of legacy, it seems unlikely there are any horrors or threats that could not be overcome or at least contained.

Either that, or the Chiss are much more badass than anyone knew.
