  2. I like how Hoar met A'Sharad Hett and wanted to avenge the Tuskens for what Anakin did during Episode 2 and the whole Deathstar plans in Legends was Weird it seems that Rianna Saren stole the plans and not Kyle Katarn Celeste Morne was not the only Ancient Force User who woke up during the Imperial era Arden Lyn did it too

Revan’s Son, Vaner Shan, is a curiosity, very little is known about him. We know he had children because Satale Shan is a descendant. But he was not Force Sensitive, despite being the child of very powerful Force Users.

    Child Vaner with Bastila

It would be intriguing to know why some descendants of a great vergence in the Force have no sensitivity to the Force.
The same lack of Force Sensitivity happened to Theron Shan, Vaner’s descendant.

So where are the Romulans? Oh wait... Chiss, yeah. Spock/Thrawn in canon may even look more Romulan than in Legends.

-My fav obscure pieces of lore? Well... the german Heyne Minibooks are as obscure as it gets, even if in the same arena as the lots of foreign exclusives and rpg mags that have a dubious canonicity. I love just how oldschool they are based on the few EU that was out back then and add nice little nuggets here and there.

-That aside, Alderaan having teleportation/hypergate technology in the royal palace as per 1st edition WEG adventure "Graveyard of Alderaan". Pity the revised 2nd edition altered that cool bit and in general removed some fantasy elements from early publications that were closer to the old Marvel SW feel of weird and wonderful pulp SW.

Then there are these in canon
    :
-The planet "Ceiran" in canon exists and I want to know WHY? and What happens on it? Claudia Gray had it mentioned in one line in Master&Apprentice and I am dying to learn more about it ever since! Was it named after my social media nickname Ceiranharmony? She used it as an opposite to Coruscant in a comparison. I also need Atlas Coordinates for it still @jasonfry !

"On the macro level, this stuff is identical to kyber, but if you get down into the microscopic, they've got about as much in common as Coruscant and Ceiran."
    ―Pax Maripher, on kohlen crystals

-Aphra visited Hapes to mod her Archangel and we never learned more about it outside the rpg guide reference!

Baron Nax Cirvan was one of Dooku’s most skilled Dark Acolytes. He killed eight Jedi and their Padawans on Rullag. That puts him up at Ventress and Grievous’s level. Anakin Skywalker had to hunt him down to bring an end to his reign of terror.

From George's background notes, but first appearing in the newspaper strip alongside "Tan Skywalker," the idea that Threepio was activated "centuries ago" on the planet Affa. This persistent bit of lore has managed to survive the prequels' revision of Threepio's history and has also been hinted at canon, if I remember correctly.

From this issue of HoloNet News, there's a Spotts TradeChip Company that sells "smashball, bolo-ball, and podracing chips", as well as a line of Jedi chips. It's the GFFA analogue of the Topps trading card company, which similarly makes sports-themed trading cards as well as Star Wars-themed trading cards.

I'll quote the funniest thing about it from the Wook's behind-the-scenes section:
    SuperShadow!

The Imperial Remnant is portrayed VERY differently in the '80s post-ROTJ comics than it would be in the '90s EU. They're still around and are occasionally the antagonist of a story, but they are on the whole played as utterly pathetic and entirely crippled by Endor; indeed it's explicitly stated that well over half the top brass went down with either the DSII or the Executor (eggs in one basket much, Sheev?). They're shown having to kiss the boots of crime bosses and local tinpot warlords to stave off the inevitable, and even that usually doesn't work.

In most arcs, a much bigger threat are the various opportunists, most prominently Lumiya, the Nagai, and the Tofs, who are attempting to beat the fledgling New Republic to the filling of the power vacuum, and not the remaining Imps.

Warmaster Nas Choka’s subordinate at the Battle of Mon Calamari was Supreme Commander Loiric Kaan. He shares a surname with Skere Kaan, leader of the Brotherhood of Darkness. Just as the old woman Luke and Leia encountered on Mimban, Halla, has the same first name as the New Republic commander who prosecuted Tycho Celchu-Halla Ettyk.

My absolute favourite piece of obscure lore is the existence of Ederlathh Pallopides, the alleged great-niece of Palpatine whose legitimacy was taken seriously enough that the New Republic entered negotiations with the Empire to form a constitutional monarchy with her as a powerless figurehead. Her benefactor, Betl Oxtroe, apparently had sufficient clout to credibly enter into negotiations on behalf of the military, whilst effectively throwing the Ruling Council and civilian leadership under the bus (she was pushing for full immunity for military personnel who were following their orders in committing atrocities). Both figures were mostly forgotten by future sources, and, rather infuriatingly, a planned article on Imperial usurpers that was planned for the Star Wars Blog never saw the light of day.

The idea of Palpatine having a family represented in the upper echelons of the Imperial Court is another obscure detail that otherwise fell by the wayside (and seems to have been contradicted outright by later sources). The original Marvel comics mention the prospect of Domina Tagge being married into the "Imperial Family," with the implication being that referred to the royal family, and a later Boba Fett comic features the corpse of Palpatine's third-cousin Volpau. (I know you said no headcanon, but I always figured Volpau to be another Pallopides).

  15. in Legends seems that Anakin competed in more Podracing races than the one from TPM as we see it in Episode 1 Racer and Racer Revenge i also like that Anakin talked with Ulic Qel Droma Force Ghost in the Clone Wars game that game has many references to Tales of the Jedi it also seems that TPM game is canon to Legends and all its levels occurred at the same time in parallel as the movie and is also related to the Plagueis novel because Sun Guards appear in the game

The development of the Battle of Ruusan is pretty interesting. It started off as just an element in the backstory of the "MacGuffin" from Dark Forces, then became the setting of the Jedi vs. Sith comic, and was then upgraded by the reference books to, arguably, the single most pivotal event in the Republic's entire history.

  18. I find it curious that Star Wars Republic Vow of Justice occurs in the same year that the Plagueis novel begins in the games SWTOR Galaxies and Elite Squadron the Jedi Enclave from KOTOR appears in the game Renegade Squadron the team attacks Palpatine in Korriban and they all survive the encounter i dont find Empire At War expansion Forces of Corruption Weird but i feel that story is very little remembered compared to other Legends stories

Speaking of sons, I greatly enjoyed learning about Ludo Kressh's son Elcho Kressh, perhaps the only Star Wars character to canonically die of something as quotidian as overdrinking.

Oh, and of course Fulstar plates are a critical but underrated hyperdrive component.

I could see a descendant of a great Force user being driven to drinking. The expectation to live up to greatness, “My son looks like me—and so does the future of the Sith.” (Ludo Kressh). Perhaps its best Vaner never could tap into The Force, or he’d be a drinking companion of Elcho Kressh.

@Grand Admiral Paxis I had entirely forgotten about Volpau.

As to Ederlatth, are we taking it that Palpatine’s brother had a child? Palpatine was 17 when he murdered him… so he could have been 16 and married and have had a child perhaps?

Volpau shares the same great(?)-grandfather as Palpatine, potentially the one who to Baron Talpo…

Lets not forget that Palpatine's father Cosinga had a Mistress too and had probably children with her too that Palpatine did not kill if he only killed his siblings in the family home. There could be a lineage there that he later elevated to Royal Family and used for his purposes for some reason. Just like other more remote cousins and relatives.

If you follow Game of Thrones spinoff House of the Dragon, it could be a Targaryen/Velaryon kind og thing with Palpatines/Pallopides.

I appreciate how much Kevin J. Anderson tried linking to early lore back in the early-mid '90s, even if some of it turned out clumsy and didn't quite fit (like the Night Beast itself in ToTJ, or the scramble in YJK when it turned out Skorr had died)
