It was sooo slooww at times.

It was confusing when they mentioned "imperial mining accident" but it clearly happened before imperial times and Maarva talks about the Republic while we see separatist-symbol there. I'm totally lost what happened on Kenari and when. They need to clear this up. They probably will. At this point I am confused though. Were there two accidents or is timeline already messed up by the writers? I don't know. Maybe imperial archives changed the date of the accident to cover up what really happened before? And there was staged accident or something.

I think "Mining accident" is standard imperial code for genocide now...

The accident killed all the adults, and then the gas the separatists brought toxifyed the planet. All of this happened during the clone wars.

That's why I think term "imperial" was weirdly used there.

I thought it was more a cover for imperial made ecological catastrophe. Either on purpose or an accidental catastrophe. It usually does involve large scale death of people but the primary reason isn’t to eliminate a population. And it leaves a planet uninhabitable on some level. Like Jedah is going to be facing basically the same consequences of a comet hitting the planet. Life on part of the world is wiped instantly out the years of winter as the atmosphere is full of dust.

Really struggled with the first 2 episodes but this one has sold the show to me. Brilliant.

I don’t remember it being very slow. A ton happens in a pretty short period of time.

But Maarva says those were Republic officers, not CIS.

Yet they wore clear separatist insignia. Maybe they were infiltrating CIS, but how did Maarva know? Or they for some other reason had separatist suits trying to protect themselves from poison, didn't seem to help though.

It was slow and also dull at times. Especially Timm and Bix scenes felt so long. I didn't have much interest in their relationship. Apparently they were only working buddies to begin with. I thought first they were married or something, but seems Timm was surprised when Bix came into his house. Their scenes were so dull I didn't even pay attention at first[face_laugh]. So their relationship just got warmer. Then he betrayed her friend and got killed by dudes he himself invited. I knew Timm is going to betray Andor from the start so I didn't much pay attention to his scenes to be honest. I watched the all three eps today and I got bored at this point since all scenes were so slow until the final episode. I was just interested in what Andor and Corpo guys were doing or when flashback continues. Bix scenes were dull, hopefully she gets better now when we got rid of Timm.

So we know that the Death Star project started under the Separatists before Dooku took the plans at the end of AOTC. My theory is that the Separatists were using Kanari to mine for natural resources for the project and used the adult population as slave labor. The mining operation looks like its been abandoned for a while so I imagine they left soon after the Clone Wars started. I don’t think that ship that crashed is actually a Separatist ship. It looks more Republic/Imperial in design. I think Sidious was sending Republic forces disguised as Separatists to scout the location for the future construction project. I think Maarva found something on one of the dead crew before she ran into Cassian that indicated this which is why she says the kids killed a Republic officer. The Empire eventually shuts the planet down with the cover story of a mining disaster.

The end montage of each character, the flashbacks, and the swelling music were all spot on. Very well done.

Seems like this show is going to show how the proto-Rebels discover that the entire Clone Wars was a fabrication controlled by the Emperor, playing and owning both sides against each other for his own machinations. I don't think that's quite known, although perhaps suspected all along, before this time period. Although i could be wrong. So maybe this is where they get proof. Which then leads to the spies discovering the Death Star itself, it's plans, its weaknesses.

Would be hard to connect it considering those flashback scenes would have happened about thirty years before the Skeleton Crew show will take place.

Also Skeleton Crew will come out before we get season 2 of Andor.

If Bixx hooks up with Cassian then I suppose that means she'll go to the forest moon of Andor. Things are about to get a little hairy!

Gets to you, doesn’t it? That’s what a reckoning sounds like. You want it to stop, but it just keeps coming.

By the end of ROTS, Obi-wan and Yoda knew that Palpatine was behind the Clone Wars, and I would presume that they told Bail Organa before all three went their separate ways. A scene where Bail reveals this to Mon Mothma could be interesting.

Best episode of the 3 in terms of pacing/action. The Luthen character looks like he will become a major SW character for fans (he just has the vibe about him). The other standout is Syril Karn (spelling?). This is how Hux should have been portrayed in the ST... although I expect Karn may become disillusioned more quickly... 8/10.

A step-up from the first too. Nice tension building as the guards got closer to Cassian, and then the resulting chase on-foot through the city. Still, I'm not quite invested in the show much yet. I'm not getting much depth, it's all quite plot-heavy, moving pieces around, without much emotion.

Also, I can't quite tell what they were going for with the corporate guard types. At times they were presented as a big threat, or oppressive thugs, but they also seemed highly incompetent at other points. It's hard to tell how much power or influence they have compared to traditional Imperials.

Weakest opener of an SW series so far, but now things are in motion it might go to some more interesting places.

Edit: Oh, and I liked the ending with the sweeping music as Cassian escaped, mixed in with the flashback of his 'adoption' by Maarva, that was some nice parallelism, on how this portion of his life is over forever now.
