Speaking of crappy movies, I picked up a Nightmare on Elm St. 4 pack. It's got 5,6, Freddy vs Jason and New Nightmare. New Nightmare is very good, and I actually like Freddy vs. Jason. But the other two are piles of steaming poo, but I will of course watch them anyway. I paid a dollar, so that's 25 cents a movie.

Elm St remake over the original? That's a scalding take. I thought the remake was decent. I get the middle entries mixed up they are so bad. but still watchable.

 

Well for me Englund will always be Freddy, no doubts there

But I did engage with the protagonists better in the remake Rooney Mara or Heather Langenkamp in the acting department (I mean, come on..right? )
I also liked how the remake blended reality with dreaming, the bit in the pharmacy where Nancy was in and out of consciousness was truly inspired.

 

I do like Rooney mara. She was really good in Nightmare Alley.

Granted, I don't find any of them to be unwatchably bad. And really, all the pairs under number one can alternate amongst themselves depending upon my mood.

 

It's Lord Alvanley. I had considered the Prince Regent, and maybe really should have gone that way, but I don't know. I guess I'm still trying to figure out whether I should be prioritizing enemies, rivals or counterparts.
