I'm actually in a state of shock...


My father's cancer was not Staged 3 as we were told, it is 4. Which means he has 5 years at most....
So, he has decided to take early retirement in 11 months....

So instead of leaving for Idaho in 2024 we will be leaving in 11 months....

I don't even know how to react to all of this...

Okay, finally got caught up on this thread.

Plastic factory, huh? Funny, I've just been watching all these videos recently on plastic production, pollution, recycling, and biodegradable plastic.

 

If we’d just switch our bottles back to glass (sofa, milk, water & etc), and recycle them, it would make an impact; glass is highly reusable, biodegradable, can be melted down again while plastic is not.

 

Well, the downside of that is that glass is heavier, so it takes more fuel to transport, which would increase carbon emissions. Also there's a couple zillion applications where you need a soft and flexible material, which glass isn't. So we're kinda stuck with plastic.

 

Afternoon, gang. How are we all doing today? Yesterday was a tough one, it was 6 months since Henry passed away; still miss him with every fibre of my being, and those that say it gets easier over time are liars.

Sorry to hear your sad news regarding your Dad, @Jedi Bluth. Cancer is an awful illness, hope you have a good support network, and I am sure this place can offer an element of support too.
