I'm thinking an aged-up Julian Barratt to play Uncle Harlo, and Therm Scissorpunch with prosthetic crab hands to play Mr. Krabs.

 

Wonder if Syril witnessed the battle of Coruscant at the end of the CW and it affected his worldview.

 

He saw Clones defending him.

 

Syril's flashback with clones protecting him and his mother in opposite to Cassian's flashback with clones killing his father would be great contrast.

 

So..... Microdata Refinement. The numbers are scary.

Next week, Syril becomes obsessed with tracking down the perpetrator who took his Swingline stapler.

 

That’s how rebellions start. What begins as taking home Post It Notes ends with Ewoks taking down your shield generator.

 

I'm trying to imagine him fake-firing Pam Beesly for stealing Space Post-It Notes, but I can't, because he'd real-fire her for that.

 

Bonus points if Cassian ends up stealing the stapler for some reason.

Or he blames Cassian for stealing it when really he forgot in a different container than he usually puts it.

 

On the next episode Karn comes across the number 66 and is freaked out!

 

And on the following episode, Karn makes friends with Optics & Design, then gets invited on a trip to Emperor Palpatine's townhouse, installing an ancient Sith tapestry.

 

I figure Syril will have another opportunity to really assert himself again in the final episodes, but I think his arc over the last few episodes being reduced to baby steps has been a little disappointing. It certainly makes sense to me given the aftermath of the first three Ferrix episodes, but when so many other characters have been afforded further development since, seeing Syril running in place has gotten a bit tedious.

 

Perhaps but, you know, that’s kinda the point. He’s at the bottom of a massive machine. He won’t be going anywhere fast.

 

I get the point, but lingering on it for five episodes...

 

I think he'll get fed up, jump ship, and join the Rebels.

 

"Can you be too aggressive when enforcing order?"

Yeah, that sounds like a rebel recruit right there. ;p

 

He just got a massive boost.
He asks Dedra about Blevins and she basically says it's none of his business. He can now leverage Blevins against her in the true cutthroat fashion.
Dedra tells him not to file any more reports or it won't be her that he ends up talking to.
His little smile says he'd love nothing more than to file more reports so that he can speak to someone else at the ISB and convince them to use him to assist their investigation.
His number one priority is to clear his name and prove he's a brilliant investigator.
The fact the ISB is talking to him at all is proof enough he's on the right track.

 

IMO Syril is going to get his chance. I think he's going to keep sending reports and get Blevin's attention. Meanwhile, Dedra is going to repeat his mistakes on Ferrix and get in trouble. That's when Syril will finally be more than just the Star Wars equivalent of the guy who shoots Goliath with the Pie Gun in the face in Gargoyles. I think he'll finally get put in charge of investigating and hunt Andor down. I think it would be pretty funny if his investigation lead him to Saw instead who is probably the most dangerous Rebel he could drop in on.
