Are we still celebrating that the Disneyverse Galactic Empire is not anti-alien, anti-women, or are the blinders off now?

I was going to say that I wonder if Amedda presided over Senate meetings instead of The Senate himself in between ROTS and ANH.

I know that Andor isn't big on cameos and I shouldn't speculate too much on them...

...but man, what if Andor got sent to the same prison as Ezra's parents?

.....wait, when did they try to escape and die again? Does that timeline workout. It has been a long time since I have watched rebels.

I don't think the timeline works out. Andor takes place in 5 BBY. The prison break that cost Ezra's parents their lives happened during 4 BBY or 3 BBY, after Ezra's broadcast to the galaxy at the end of season one. That hasn't happened yet.

This show's entire point is how big and diverse the Galaxy is. Shrinking it and throwing in plots that wouldn't make sense to half the viewers isn't something I think it'd do.

Ah, finally feels like the show is starting to pick up. Is it just me, or does Cassian Andor not quite feel like the main character in the show named after him? There's just so many plots going on in parallel. Also, the end credits music feels overly dramatic for what we've seen in the show so far.

That's probably the point, a lot can happen to change a person in five years.

At the rate Andor is adding shooting locations to the London "places I need to visit around Celebration Europe next year" map I am gonna need more days lol! Soon all of London is Coruscant with no concrete dump unused.

How fitting it is ruled by an Emperor even now... [face_whistling]

One of the best little sequences in this week's ep, even with it featuring in trailers:

The Star Destroyer flying into Aldhani. It had a wonderfully ominous feel here, far more so than in the trailers.

Also, a possible first for SW:

I loved the techno track coming in on the beach planet. Is this the first time we've seen SW depart from an orchestral score?

The Clone Wars, The Bad Batch and The Mandalorian all had synth or techno score.
Early Clone Wars had a lot of experimental techno and even rock music. The final Clone Wars season and The Bad Batch are full of Blade Runner like synth score.
The Mandalorian had its wub-wub techno dubstep, whenever the Dark Troopers were in action.

Thanks for the reminder, but I think you need to tweak your post to restore the spoiler code.

There's no reason to believe they didn't, just not wandering the streets, because it's not their job... or at least it wasn't before Yularen's chat with Palpatine.

Kind of funny how things do and don't impact memory.
    Who? What?

Clearly it was unforgettable for me.

I maintained since the show was announced it should have been called something else. It's an ensemble show.

Unfortunately, Rebels is taken and Rebellion would have been too close for comfort.

The series is clearly the story of Cassian growing from apolitical scrounger to Rebel agent. The parallel story is of Mon Mothma. Luthen is the thread that connects them. I'm sure we will eventually see Cassian and Mon meet, probably by the end of the season.

Probably because of Luthen wanting Cassian dead, too. I doubt Luthen survives the season.

Luthen and Saw both try to fight the Empire by being them. Saw realised too late on Jedha that he can't out do the Empire in sheer atrocity. If Luthen is still alive during ANH and hears about the destruction of Jedha and Alderaan, that might be where he realises his error too.

IMO, so far Luthen did nothing wrong in terms of advancing his main goal. His plan was ruthless, but also efficient.

And then got blasted by a planet-killing superlaser. Don't be like Saw kids.

(Now, more seriously, the Empire would have used anything as a pretext to crack down further, whether it be a plan by Mothma or Luthen.)

Luthen is of the outlook "what are they going to do? Destroy an entire city to take me out?". But overlooks that yes, yes they will. There's no out fighting that.

You could say Saw Gerrera was the most successful Rebel/Sepratist.

Seems to me that he quite understands that the Empire is capable to do atrocities of any scale, he wants the other people to understand it as well.
