I resolve to come up with something relevant for these episode threads, no matter how tenuous a connection I'm able to make. ;)

I think it's supposed to be "Coda", not "Resolve".

I’m going by the most recent version of the document with the episode titles, and that has Resolve.

That 'speech' by Organa, man Star Wars lately has like 10 levels upped its script writing.

Basically a prologue to The Clone Wars finale and basically summarises the novel and yes definitely some MAJOR retcons here.

I'm probably reading way too much into this but I feel like Tony gilroy and Dave are working together to some extent because the writing in this is excellent and this episode makes me think there might be some crossover between Ahsoka and Andor.

I only have two minor gripes with this final short. Both involved the Inquisitor and one has nothing to do with this show.

    1. I wish we would have shown The Inquisitor losing his patience with the village and not just come back with it burnt.

    2. Even though he was only on screen for 2 minutes, he was far more menacing and interesting than any of the inquisitors in Obi-Wan, which is sad.

I liked seeing Bail Organa back and Padme's funeral was sad.

I agree about Ahsoka and Andor. I wouldn’t be surprised if Mothma goes to see Organa by end of season and finding Ahsoka there but perhaps not knowing who she is.

That's my thoughts as well Plus tony has littered andor with Easter eggs even though he said he wouldn't. they're just not in your face like C3PO walking in the background.

Ahsoka starting her life in a rural village and ending up at one after Order 66 is a nice touch. Bookends the series nicely.

I like how this shows us where she left for after Clone Wars season 7. And Rex and Ahsoka departs soon after. Then one year she joins up with Bail and Rebellion.

What a waste of a cool Inquisitor. He was disposed of as quickly as a B1 battle droid.

The fact the destruction he caused was off screen and that he tried, but failed to kill the informant just shows how much Disney love to shy away from dark/mature content and why I’ve been losing interest in Star Wars.

How are we supposed to respect the Inquisitors as foes when an unarmed padawan can take one down in seconds?

There's not much tension or excitement in wiping out cannon fodder. They could easily make some of the inquisitors into real threats, which would make for better story-telling.

This has been a problem for awhile. They suffer from acute "Imperial Cannon fodder-itis".
    Exactly.

Inquisitor had a cool design though. Probably my favorite out of all of them. But not really a worthy foe for any jedi. Too bad inquisitors were so poor already in Rebels. They cannot really make them worthy foes in any media anymore since they were established as mostly ex-padawans with tricksabers. Well that ship has sailed. I hope they will return to old republic era to show more powerful dark siders.

Haven't read the book but I guess that planet is Raada I think, so is that sixth brother or not? I'm bit confused.

Yeah, looked like Raada to me. Farming planet that was milked by the Empire. Must have been the sixth brother then.

The music in the final standoff was incredible, though. Sounded like Ennio Morricone did a rendition of Ahsoka's theme. Kevin Kiner is really good.
I loved the "anticlimactic" duel. Considering the soundtrack, cinematography and tension, it was clearly inspired by classic western standoffs. And no Jedi is ever weaponless, something that Inquisitor did not seem to think about in his pride and arrogance :) It was more about themes and symbolism, than power levels or anything. I liked that little moment when Ahsoka clenched her fist, as if almost succumbing to anger and bait, but then calming herself, letting go of fear, clearing her mind and focusing. Kind of reminded me of the Kenobi vs Maul duel in Rebels. Short and sweet. But I get why some may not like it. I don't mind the fact that the Inquisitors are expendable. They serve a certain purpose, but it doesn't mean they aren't dangerous. They are still an obstacle for a hero to overcome, and serve a thematic purpose for the main character.

I don't really like the visual designs of most of them or trick saber. It was just silly looking when they flow around with it in Rebels. Just so... uncool. I liked the design of this guy though, like Raven's skull, reminds of plague doctor and grim reaper all in one.

I agree about Rebels. But then again, most of the stuff in Rebels looked... iffy, IMO.
This Inquisitor was most definitely cool. This one, and the girl from Jedi: Fallen Order are the two cool Inquisitors, IMO. Grand Inquisitor is also fine, I suppose.

The nameless Inquisitor’s swift death isn’t a detriment to his skills. Rather it’s a testament to just how good Ahsoka is at fighting. The Chosen One himself trained very well. Moreover, Ashoka’s quick decapitation of the Inquisitor was a sign as to how angry she was. This being killed almost all of her workmates and neighbours. No mercy from Ahsoka for that.

GI was sort of a clown in OWK, he was ok in Rebels though, and actually a threat there. Second Sister, Trilla was also cool, tragic character in game. Reva was ok at times too, she at least wasn't totally incapable. Fifth Brother is the worst, he is lazy, stupid brute who for some reason thinks very highly of himself. The rest are just fools like him. Very weak, very arrogant, sort of schoolyard bullies. They think they are strong when they gang up against weaker foes.
I had no problem with visuals in Rebels, but that flying thing was just so silly....

If nothing else, it is worth noting the Jedi Council offered Ahsoka a knighthood when she left, so she is at least jedi knight level. And of the inquisitors whose backstories we know, one was a padawan and one was only a youngling (and one was captain of the temple guard but even he ultimately lost to someone whose level of training was below Ahoska's)

...But I have to admit it was so jarring it was hilarious that the fight was over that quickly after this scary looking and acting guy got a dramatic introduction. Dude should have worked less on his drip and more on his skills.
