    YEEHEE!!!

This was like a figurine collection coming together!!

Yoda, Plo Koon, Obi-wan, Anakin, Obi-wan, Rex, Bilaba, Caleb, the old goat dude who I can't remember right now.

Man I miss The Clone Wars now.

And hehe that training is SO Anakin. Explains how Ahsoka became so good but man, that was brutal.

AND THAT ENDING - FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR out.

And the veneration of Saint Ahsoka continues. Obviously I'm not a fan, but even I didn't like her getting shot repeatedly.

This one was my least favorite. Rather pointless really. I get the message, practice is good and all but compared to others this one stood out as completely unnecessary short story. I feel like I didn't need to see any of this. There were nothing new or even interesting really. Except Obi-Wan's hair is now weird, it was longer than in TCW movie yet this had to happen much later.... ok whatever they just updated the character model I guess.

AMAZING episode! Absolutely loved seeing Anakin and Ahsoka together again!
    And hearing their voice actors!!!
I teared up at Anakin's steadfast insistence that he train Ahsoka to defend herself so thoroughly!
And the ending was so perfect!

Well it's full-on TCW nostalgia time. No, I don't mind. Got the whole gang back together, and we've even got young Caleb (up until now, we'd had only Filoni's BTS comments that he and Ahsoka had ever crossed paths before Rebels.) Anakin is very much determined here to ensure Ahsoka can survive even if she should ever find herself at odds with the clones (but that would never happen, right?) And so she does, even Anakin himself tries his damnest to do her in later on. Not a whole lot to say about this one, really, it's just a nice to see these two back together on screen and Ashley voicing Ahsoka one more time.

This one was just meh for me. Anakin’s animation made it look like he had a lip full of chew. The only other thing I could think of was that bad version of the Cutting Edge with Matt Lanter in it. Every time they’d do a move it was “Again!” “Again!” “Again!”

This one was just ok. Aside from the nice flash forwards, it's been there, done that.

I liked this episode well enough, but it felt a bit incongruent with the rest of the series. Every other episode felt like they were the A plot bringing something new to the table plot/lore/story wise. This episode was much more of a side story/interlude; like a darker toned Forces of Destiny episode or something. It was pleasant seeing Anakin and Ahsoka together again and I like the thorough line of Anakin protecting Ahsoka from the Empire he helped set in motion. I can't say I didn't enjoy it; it just doesn't fit with the rest.

I guess the point of this episode was to further explain how Ahsoka survived order 66, she had experience to battle against clones no other jedi, except maybe Anakin himself had. I don't think we needed to explain this, but this was kind of boring compared to the rest of the episodes still.

Very refreshing. This episode showed how Anakin pushed Ahsoka and that he didn’t truly think all Jedi teaching were always good enough.

agree. Matt and Ashley chemistry is really something you can sense when they’re working together.

this was bittersweet and kinda ironic to me as it’s end up because of him at Ahsoka finds herself in a situation to use the training to survive.

From this thread it appears it did need to be explained. Many believe Ahsoka to be flawless, this episode shows even she struggles when challenged to the magnitude that her master was training her. Her steadfast resolve in the end made the training a success and saved Rex and her lives.

"If you can hold off Rex and the boys you'll be ready for anything on the battlefield. Well, anything with a blaster at least."

This line from Anakin, especially the last part, made me wonder if it were subtle foreshadowing to the day when he and she would meet on Malachor...

Maybe it was coincidental on the writers' part. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

It was amazing seeing Phase I clone troopers with upgraded animation. That and Rex alone is worth a petty automatic 10. It's not like we needed an explanation of how Ashoka got so good and was able to survive in "Shattered". She has always been portrayed as exceptionally skilled and the kind of hero who usually wins by simply punching harder than her opponent. But on the other hand, something missed in The Clone Wars. A casualty of The Clone Wars' awesome anthology-style is stories spent building Ahsoka and Rex's friendship.

Insanely, "Brain Invaders" is actually the last time Ahsoka and Rex really speak to each other until the final episodes of season 7. I really enjoyed seeing Rex involved in Anakin's training of Ahsoka. Seeing him express concern Anakin is pushing it too far. Offering Ashoka back her lightsaber and a hand to help her up. I think it means alot more for this scene in "Shattered"

then it does for later in "Victory and Death" The fact Rex nailed her in one shot in the final training scene. Shows that bond, his resisting the inhibitor chip for just a second to shout Fives' name at her is just as responsible for Ashoka surviving the initial attack. Though this training helped her and Rex survive the on-slot later. Jesse was the one who took her down in the first round of training. And that's where this shorts ends off at.

This also gives interesting context to the times Rex gave Kanan a hard time about his methods of training Ezra.

Come to think of it, there were no much actual "Anakin training Ahsoka" in TCW, rather her learning from her own mistakes (like in episode about the blockade of the Ryloth) in the battle field, so this episode filled some gaps. Although I would rather like to see a story about Ahsoka being a youngling and why she of all people was chosen to become Anakin's Padawan.

Her temperament was a lot like Anakin's. They were giving him a taste of his own medicine, as Lucas once put it. She also showed enough potential to keep up with Anakin.

Easily a 10/10 for me. It was certainly refreshing to hear both Ashley and Matt once again. This episode showed her progression in blaster training with her lightsaber against the clones through the years; all leading up to Order 66. I'd argue this should be considered among the "Ahsoka Essentials" for when D+ releases the Live Actions Series.

It’s such a ducking shame I have been sleeping on TOTJ. It’s so ****ing good.

Also I like how in the TCW movie Ahsoka is supposed to be super young for a Padawan but Kanan was like 11 or 12 in this episode while Ahsoka was 14.

it’s not something that really bothers me just something I noticed. While I don’t like this episode nearly as much as the Dooku episodes I do like it.

Honestly I think watching TOTJ right now was perfect. I was close to my breaking point with TCW. Not because I hate it but because I have been watching to much of it. I needed a change. This has made me want to finish what I have started
