Maybe I missed something, but what was the significance of Syril and his friend swapping hats?

Solid ending but not spectacular. 8/10. Overall season is a 9.5/10. I do think some of the main players needed to die, and the post credit scene was too on the nose for me. I did love the line of the ISB leader saying the emperor just wanted blood

I also enjoyed B2EMO getting a purpose again with Cassian asking for him to look after Bix. Man, ILM/LA really can bet druids to move you, ya know? Just an awesome 1st season.

They'd already ordered everyone out because they'd got a tip off of where Andor was.

Still trying to articulate why I found some of the finale underwhelming. I think it's because for the entire run of the season, especially the second half, we've had several characters all looking for Andor and every single one of these characters all ended up on Ferrix and yet...not a single one of them even caught a glimpse of Cassain the entire time! Yes, there is the Andor/Luthen scene but Andor finds Luthen, Luthen doesn't find Andor.

When Luthen ordered Vel and Cinta to kill Cassian I spent weeks anticipating that at some point at least somebody involved in the hunt for Cassian would catch sight of him and that we'd get a chase scene and/or a face off between Cassian and whoever caught up to him so it's a little anticlimactic/underwhelming that Vel, Cinta, Luthen, Dedra, Karn and Cassian are ALL on Ferrix and yet there is zero confrontation with Cassian save the final scene with Cassian and Luthen and not only that but these characters who were all looking for Cassian by and large didn't contribute much to the finale in any real meaningful way.

Yes, I thought the final was really good, even great at times, I gave it an eight out of ten, but I wish the main characters intersected more. At the same time I'm really happy with where all these characters end up at the conclusion of the episode.

Earlier in the season I didn't anticipate that we'd see many if any of these characters in season two aside from Cassian, Mon, and Saw Gerrera. I'm really looking forward to seeing where season two takes Cassian, Luthen and his gang, Dedra, Karn and Mon.

It was reveiled earlier in the episode that Luthen wanted to kill Casian my question is he a Jedi it looks like he has a Lightsaber and is he with the Rebels or a spy for the Empire?
It only felt like it left me wanting more because there will be a second season we will have to wait till season two next year.

What more can you say about this show? There wasn't a single weak episode and most were flat-out masterful. I just wish they showed these last two episodes back-to-back because they felt a bit thin on their own. That's been my only issue with this amazing show - just let Gilroy air episodes at whatever length is best. No need to mandate a 40-45 runtime. Books don't set 15-20 page limits on chapters.

    - I love that both Nemik and Maarva got epic beyond-the-grave monologues. While I understood the reason for her off-screen death, she needed a powerful goodbye of some sort and that was perfect.

    - Mon throwing her driver/spy off the scent by faking Perrin's gambling relapse was brilliant. I actually felt bad for the guy. And then Mon (apparently) going through with the arranged marriage for Leida was the "hands dirty" moment I've been waiting for her. Both she and Cassian crossed a threshold of commitment they never imagined.

    - Speaking of Cassian, I had a minor, silly gripe with his final line. I wish he had said: "Take me out or take me in" instead of "Kill me or take me in."

    - As tense as that funeral/riot scene was, Syril and Dedra made me laugh. Somehow a toxic, fascist love story is the most convincing one I've seen in a while.

Finally we have competent Stormtroopers in live action. Now when Obi Wan tells Luke in ANH, “Only imperial stormtroopers are so precise”, we won’t be rolling our eyes.

I think Cassian's options for Luthen to either kill him or take him in works best, considering "Kill me" is rather straightforward, whereas "Take me out" also has the connotation of being taken out on a date, or taken out to the ball park, or taken out to the crowd.

Shooting a crowd of unarmed civilians fleeing for their lives doesn't make one competent, in my opinion. They haven't exactly displayed any tactical proficiency. Ironically, the most competent fighters in the series were Syril's corpo cops from the first arc.

At least now we have live action visual proof. It had been 45 years of comical relief.

My feeling exactly. At that point, I think he realised that killing Cassian wasn't the way, wasn't the right thing to do in aid of the nascent rebellion. Luthen expected Cassian to be there for his mother's funeral and after hearing Marva's rousing speech, I'm guessing that Luthen knew that Cassian also hearing that speech would convince him to commit fully to the rebel cause.

One of the many, many things that this episode of Andor has achieved for me is that it has given me a greater appreciation for the events that occur on Lothal during Rebels; as well as making me see it differently. I'm now able to take this live action explosive (no pun intended) moment of Rix Road and apply it to the animation of Rebels. I now visualise the same events on Lothal in live-action in my head.

I just love how the tensions boil over and chaos unfolds following Maarva's speech and young Paak's home-made bomb. This is how Rebellion's start.

Here’s something else I noticed. Did Andor even mention to anyone on Ferrix that he was imprisoned by the Empire?

No wonder he sought out Luthen? He wants in!

I think Andor is the best thing they’ve done with the franchise since 1983.

I think “fight the Empire” is much better. Dropping an F bomb in Star Wars is kind of a step too far in my opinion.

They’re doing well against them until Chewie steals an AT-ST. That’s really the turning point of the battle.

Well, I can't say it any better than that.

I also misheard it this way.
