What are some movies that were a Big Deal at the time they came out but went on to have no impact whatsoever?

I vividly remember one day being driven all over Central Texas looking for a theatre where the much-hyped high concept Robin Williams comedy Jack wasn't sold out. We eventually found one, but it was one of those cinematic experiences that was so blandly inoffensive that I remember literally nothing about the movie; I had all but forgotten that it existed at all until I stumbled across it recently on Wikipedia.

What are some other movies that turned out to be complete and total cultural nothingburgers. I suspect a number of them are like Jack in that they so palpably aspire and so palpably fail to be capital-A Art.

I think I've seen CREED twice now with the intention of watching CREED 2. For the life of me, I can't remember what happens in CREED at all.
I'd also say there are many forgettable movies in "popular" franchises like Fast & Furious & Night at the Museum movies.

Sometimes I worry that Cocaine Bear won't live up to the hype.

I suppose if a viewer were truly immersed in Memento, they ought to have forgotten everything, unless they tattooed the plot onto their chest.

I think Snakes On A Plane would be a good example of this.

I found that Green Lantern was so instantly forgettable that it was brought up a week after I saw it and it took me a moment to remember that was a movie I'd seen.

That movie was denied its rightful place as a midnight movie with audience interaction the way that Rocky Horror is

"Jaws 3-D" would probably fit. The original is an enduring classic. The follow-up is regarded as reasonably OK and is re-run on occasion. The fourth is memorably nonsensical. The third one is just...there. Rarely mentioned, rarely shown.

Well, at least the ones over the last, say, twenty years or so.

    The Garbage Pail Kids Movie

You have to appreciate that this came out during a time when the populace were still collecting the trading cards in abundance. It was a big deal and obviously that's what prompted the hype for the movie, but no one thinks about it now.

Does anyone remember the Tron films? I remember I saw the Tron sequel but no one really talks about them that I know of.

There are a few movies I’ve seen over the years no one ever seems to talk about.

TRON has a huge cult following. I believe there’s a third movie in the works.

That’s on streaming service right now. I saw it in theaters and 100% forgot about it. I actually do remember parts of it now but never thought of it again after seeing it.

I remember getting into a long discussion with a friend about how odd it was for the Denzel Washington to suddenly start doing direct-to-video films, only for him to point that this technically had been in theaters at some point.
