JCC Amph Super Bowl Commercials Megathread

What is your favorite Super Bowl 57 commercials ? My favorite ad was for Pepsi Zero with Steve Martin and Ben Stiller.

Please post some videos of any of 2023 commercials only.

 

I didn't like the 30 second spots that announced full trailer online like GotG 3 and The Flash. I get it, 30 seconds cost $7M, but still. It was like holding in a sneeze.

@Ahsoka's Tano The Clueless ad was great because I quote that movie all the time therefore my students are often lost but today they been like "oh that is what you been saying" particularly since that is one of the scenes I normally quote. It is also disconcerting and frankly a bit depressing that Clueless is now about to be considered "cool" again because it is hitting 30 years old in two years.

I agree too many celebrities in these commercials now as I think a lot of the creativity is gone. Like I said in the NFL thread, I grew up with Bud Bowl commercials but now we get Miles Teller and Keleigh Sperry dancing while on hold. Talk about a far fall from grace and don't even start me on that Ultra Caddyshack commercial which frankly felt like a crime against humanity. If you are going to do it, at least have Chevy and Bill in it (and yes I know Michael O'Keefe was in it for a like a second) not someone else play their parts particularly Tony Romo as Carl. One of the reasons why the Jeep Groundhog Day commercial worked was because Bill was obviously in it.

 

I saw the trailer for The Flash and was alternately shocked and then annoyed by the appearance of Michael Keaton — the “multi-verses of different iterations of superheroes” party trick is already getting really old.

 

I'm only happy about THE BEST Batmobile appearing in the new movie.

 

Wow, they're using the generic red car?!

 

Marvel is like 15 minutes from being done with their multiverse stories. DC wanted this flag movie out before Spider-Man no way home.

I hope their reboot works out. Also hope we don’t feel like Keaton is cheated here instead getting a proper return.

 

I got to admit, I did not like this one too much. I had a good friend of mine that was into football and some Sunday's he would have people go to his house to watch football. In one of those get together, he caught his girlfriend in the bedroom going at it with her female next-door neighbor. He had a great relationship with her she never told him that she was into girls and it just devasted him. So, seeing that commercial was like reliving what he went through. I know some of you guys will say if he was doing the plumbing better this wouldn't have happened. The thing is that this guy was very attentive to his girlfriend's needs. So yeah, that one definitely not.

The one I liked was the Pepsi Zero commercials

 

I'm sorry that your friend went through that. I understand if he never wants to eat Totinos again.

Does the Batman the animated series Batmobile combine aspects of the original red Batmobile with the Tim Burton Batmobile?

 

I don’t remember any specific conversations about the design, but the TAS Batmobile is red in some early concept art. Make of that what you will.

 

And for what it's worth, it's been 31 years since Groundhog Day came out. That hurts.
