Saga Here is my unorthodox Star Wars opinion: change my mind!

Discussion in 'Star Wars Saga In-Depth' started by Feelicks, Feb 23, 2013.

  1. Its crazy to think that Palpatine survived ROTJ in Legends and Disney Universes every time you watch ROTJ again it wont be the same

Before the ST I was a proponent of Palpatine returning in some form, believing it could be done in a way that made sense to the overarching narrative and didn’t undermine Anakin’s sacrifice.

    I changed my mind.

My Unpopular opinion today, is that Star wars animation is mutch better then Star Wars live action. So many great storylines and storytelling you might never do in live action. Especially on Tv show.

  4. TCW is 100% a George Lucas product too many Droids, Jar Jar, Filler and Comedy Episodes i dont like his Humor and Comedy that much i wonder if Lucas had made the Sequels Movies how much Humor would there be in his Movies? i dont like the Humor in TLJ or ROS but i think Lucas Sequels wouldnt have been that different from Disney Sequels

Lucas dont have the best ideas he wanted Jango Fett to be an impostor who stole a Mandalorian Armor im glad Filoni fixed that in Mandalorian Show he wanted Grievous to be Darth Maul and Darth Maul to be the Villain in his Version of the ST i dont know if it was Lucas idea that Mandalore and the Mandalorians were just a City or Kingdom of Blonde people the Mandalorians are supposed to be a Clan of Warriors that anyone can join im also glad Filoni fixed the Mandalorians issue in the Din and Grogu Show even if i dont like Filoni that much ROTJ is also a Movie 100% made by George Lucas because of the way he made the Ewoks defeat the Empire Lucas didnt want Star Wars to have the serious tone of ESB and he wanted ROTJ to be childish again and for children i know ROTS had a "serious tone" too but that tone does not compare to ESB

I like TCW Show but sometimes its hard to believe that Version of Anakin is Hayden Christensen Hayden was not as charismatic as TCW Anakin is in my opinion

George Lucas invented Jango Fett. His ideas are what Jango Fett is

The Ewoks didn’t defeat the Empire. They helped Han, Leia, Chewie, and a team of Rebels overpower a legion of troops. It was Luke, Anakin, Lando, and literally the entire Rebel Alliance who defeated the Empire.

Yeah, but it doesn't mean we have to like that.

But it’s ridiculous when Fans are like “George ruined Jango Fett by not inventing him correctly”

In Attack of the Clones there's no indication that Jango Fett is not a Mandalorian. George Lucas never specified that until he participated in the creation of TCW. And since George changed his mind all the time, then it’s also possible that he originally conceived him as a Mandalorian, but later changed his mind. We simply don’t know, because we’re not in George’s head (thank God, because his head is really a mess).

In Revenge of the Sith there are people who burn alive and children killed. I’d say it’s a little more serious than Empire Strikes Back...

No, I think the general sense of the whole post is: "George Lucas also has some bad ideas, and I don’t like some of his decisions."

That's not how it works. The burden of proof is on those who claim that he's Mandalorian, and there's nothing in Attack of the Clones (or anywhere else from the guy who created Jango and Boba) that supports that idea. All we know from Jango is that he's a bounty hunter. And we later learn in the Clone Wars who the Mandalorians actually are, and how Jango is not one of them, but someone who simply happened to wear a set of (custom/modified) Mandalorian armor. Which still says nothing of any connection to them since bounty hunters wear all kinds of salvaged stuff.

Mandalorians work as bounty hunters. Mandalorians wear Mandalorian armor. Mandalorians don't like it when outsiders wear Mandalorian armor. If I met a bounty hunter in Mandalorian armor, I'd say there's a strong possibility that he's a Mandalorian.

It wasn't important to know Jango's backstory in AOTC. It was in TCW because a television show has time to explore things that couldn't be in the film. Just like in the OT, we're not told that Leia's last name was Organa and Han was Correllian.

Interesting assumptions, but none of them came from or were established by the guy who created Jango, Boba and the Mandalorians, and therefore would know what is and isn't.

Mandalorians are a regimented society of supercommandos. They are soldiers, not bounty hunters. And even if they had a problem with people wearing their armor (says who?), they don't control whoever happens to get hold of one and customize it to his own liking. Bounty hunters pick and wear stuff from anything and everywhere. If that says anything at all, is that the armor is good.

And Mandalorians only were created from Him and through Him. The whole Mando culture and tales would not be without Boba.

It's what the guy who created them established about them. They are anything but assumptions. Does it not gel with the Boba Fett fan club that everyone else pretended them to be? Of course it doesn't. But that's a problem with the latter.

It’s not an assumption. The Clone Wars TV series and it’s behind the scenes material have given us a clear view of what Mandalorians were behind the scenes of the movies.

I hope in Mando S3 we get glimpses of the ancient Mando culture, religion, and history in Mandalore. It would be neat if there was Chronicler who has kept tho oral history & rites.

If the Jedi lightsabers of the prequels couldn't have a full spectrum of colours, they should've all been blue.
