The last two episodes have been the greatest thing since the prequels. Those baby dragons? Harryhausen would be proud.

They seemed resigned to the idea that he had likely perished when they said that they have never been able to catch it. I think the mission originally was as much to kill this thing and stop It from doing it again, secure the body, have a burial and re-use the beskar if they’d found him dead, as it was a truly optimistic “we can definitely save him still!” kind of mission.

Only the Armorer initially seemed hopeful he was still alive. It was only when Din said he’d seen a heat source that Vizla got his hopes up and sprang to life. He even states moments after “He’s alive!?” He clearly didn’t think he would be.

I'm pretty sure in canon that Palpatine took it over and made it the Imperial Palace and that's why it's still standing and in good order.

    At least those are properly-sized

Grogu's probably gonna need another 50 years to even begin to grow into it

Apparently people suffer a thousand years in a sarlacc, so a day in a dragon isn't really a big deal. That's the way.

As people like to argue often on these forums, things in the GFFA don't always need to function as they do here on Earth.

I assume this creature wants to feed its children live food, so it has evolved the ability to store the victim alive until feeding time. This is all perfectly reasonable in SW unless you have an ax to grind.

Maybe it's partly because I actually watched multiple episodes of Jedi Temple Challenge but I absolutely loved this episode. 4 Episodes in you could easily make the case it was my favorite of the season. My inner child is still constantly in awe that this show even exists (Let alone the fact that it's only the second best one :p).

That makes perfect sense as a way to keep the temple secure, private, and functioning for the Sith.

Palpatine faking he was disfigured and somehow debilitated by the Jedi is a perfect cover for a reclusive life in the Empire.

Also there is sort of an. Isaac Asimov Emperor of the Universe thing going on with Palpatine that is covering him secretly being an evil wizard.

So this thing has evolved to keep the victim alive until feeding time - but if it hears a ship or gets shot at it will kill the victim.

I mean whatever - it's a plot contrivance, but the writing just seems so incredibly lazy. It seems like the bare minimum to connect one set piece to another.

This also makes perfect sense. When the creature's own life is at stake, it reacts aggressively and kills the prey, likely prior to dumping it in order to escape.

It's only contrived if you demand that it be seen so.

It is contrived, but I liked the episode so I'm willing to cut it some slack and allow a few contrivances.

This season strangely reminds me of when the grandpa in the Simpsons tells a story. When he quickly forgets what point he was even making and it all evolves in an incoherent mess until he falls asleep. Then he concludes with something that has nothing to do with where it started.

How do these scripts get ticked off on...?? I just re-watched the episode (I always soften a bit on the second viewing) and the dialogue is atrocious. It's low level and lazy!

"Don't be a baby" was a line that Din actually said to a droid a couple of episodes ago  It's all so stilted and jarring... The delivery is terrible as well.

That being said, if I put aside the above it is a fun enough episode... In theory I don't mind the side quest episodes, just feel this season is a bit directionless.

Who is the Sabered Hand... I assume Kelleran. Why is he called that?

He looked amazing. Would have been nice to see him with an orange lightsaber (similar to Jar Jar's skin color) just to make him stand out even more  From what I could tell, he wields a green lightsaber :greensaber:because he picked the blue lightsaber :bluesaber:up from the dead female Jedi in the lift to wield both.

I wanted Quinlan Vos - but was happy with what we got. I just want to see him in live action! He was mentioned in Kenobi, and has a very minor appearance in TPM. (Is that even canon?)

On second viewing I noticed that the Grogu flashback sequences mirror Din's in Season 1. Everytime he gets a new piece of armor - We get a bit more of his backstory. So on that basis, do we think the Kelleran appearance is a 1 off, or do we think this story beat will pick up again? I hope it does. The best part (most interesting anyway) of the series so far. They blast off into hyperspace, and the next we know of (at this point) is that Grogu ends up in the hands of the mercs Din and IG-11 fought in episode 1. Hmmm...

    HOLY BANTHA ******

The special effects for the raptor! The physical head shots were freaking amazing! Grogu struggles with fear. He's experienced trauma on more than one occasion at this point. AHMED BEST HAS A REDEMPTION JEDI AND THE CHOREOGRAPHY IS GOD TIER?! Bo Katan officially joined a cult and is still a ******* complete bad***. She's buying into the religion of it all. Mythosaur inevitable.
